Just got back in from the Camp. Was a very good camp and I am always impressed by the way it is ran. Our Augusta boys played hard and showed some good teamwork and look to keep improving this summer. I am not sure about how they got all the refs for theses games but they worked hard, for the most part. There were some refs that would not even move past half court. That would be the only thing that needs some work. At some gyms you would have three refs on the floor and on others there were no real officials. Would be nice to have them work together. All in all its was a good time and I look forward to going again next year.

Augusta is going. I will be there but wont be able to post any results.

What a shock. Best of luck Coach Ormes. Seems like someone who knows nothing about sports made a bad decision.

Noy too sure if they have made a desicion at Nicholas Co. yet. Augusta has named a new girls coach.

Well our season has finally started. The final score was terrible but the game was a good game the first few innings. Ryan Kelsch was pitching well early on. The problem with this team is that when only 4-6 players show up to practice you are not going to get any better. There was some improvements seen from last year but have a long way to go. Just the first game lets keep it together boys.

They will bring back Staggs, Hamilton, Fryman?, and Crouch all seniors Mofford, Krebs, S. White, Kelsch, Harggett, Gray all Juinors. Also A few underclassmen with alot of work to do. Who will start and who will play will depend on who shows up and puts the extra work in over the summer. The only "full time" starter returning is Staggs. Hamilton, Fryman and S. White did not start as many games.

Congrats to Cory...Still can't get the credit he deserves sometimes. Best player I have seen play all year. Best of luck young man.

No... Dont know if we will scrimmage at all. First game is April 9th against Heritage @ Augusta

I would have to say Matt Walls. IMO should have been Sweet 16 MVP also.

I will say this has been going around Augusta for some time now. I have not heard anything said for sure.

I will be there every game.

No other good players in the 10th. How about Cline of Mason Co, Kelsch of PC, I am sure there are many more. Montgomery Co must have a few

Congrats to GRC and best of luck the rest of the way. Augusta, you fought hard what more could we ask for. To the departing seniors, you all will be missed. You have given alot of fans alot to be proud of. Best of luck in the future. Never forget where it is you came from and what you have done. Jeremy Hardymon congrats on your 1000+ pts. Coach has been keeping an eye on them numbers the last few games just hoping you would make it. People always talk about deserving players, good kids and all that. I will leave it at congrats........................ Just kidding this is a great young man and his Parents should be very proud, I am sure they are. He was truely surprised when Coach pulled him off to the side and informed him that he made it. We did not think he had a clue he was even close. To the players returning next year. Keep working hard and come back stronger next year. Hit the weights, you all are welcome at anytime to come over and lift weights, shoot around and take a dip in the pool this summer. If my pool is not big enough just jump the fence and take over Coach Kelsch's, he wont mind:lol:

I saw this on the boys side. Just curious on what ladies can or will be playing at the college level.

How about Josh White of Augusta, Smart player and good leader. Does he have a chance at a small school. Hardymon from Augusta is said to be going to KCU.

This is a pretty accurate statment, If you only go by what Augusta showed against Mason Co. They will play tough you have to belive that. If they protect the ball and go strong to the basket they can keep this closer then many think.They also need to take the open shots outside. I not saying they will pull a major upset but I dont see them playing poorly in this one. I for one did not criticize Mason for the final score in the District game. You are right Augusta did little to help their cause in that game. Lets go A-Town Seniors and show why you belong in the Regions.

Along with Darius Miller and Tony Browning from Mason Co. Cooper from Bracken Co. has some hops too. Did he not get a T for dunking in warmups first game of the year. Chris Mofford of Augusta can get up there but would not say he is a high flyer yet. But will get there in the next two years. I would also say the King boys from Deming will be on this list soon.

This was not as bad as the score shows D-man. Augusta just could not get many to drop. They had their chances to keep it closer. Augusta was playing their entire bench at the end. Just gave all the kids a chance at playing at the feildhouse.

I was just making the statement that its ok for some to question PT and others can't. Accually I have no problems with thet way this team has played or been coached. They give 100% every game. I find it odd that a team with only a couple of losses can can have fans complain about PT. When I and others get beat up for the same thing. Looks like Mason Co. Is doing just fine with who they are playing.

Yes Hardymon and White did play hard and it is hard to intimidate the two of them. They are seniors and need to set the bar. I would not say everyone else played scared. I know some players had more to deal with then others. No matter what they say Shooty is more then a water boy. Hamilton needs to work on the walking, it was not just in this game but a problem all year. The kid can play, just needs to play more within himself. I do think Mofford grew up alot this year. He really makes a difference on the floor. He is not afraid of anything. Ty Krebs handled the ball and pressure well in the time he was out there, he too is not afraid of anyone. He is playing with alot more confidence then he gets credit for. This team is not done yet and can win a region game.

Panthers- Give Ty Krebs PT and Give Chris Mofford More. They both can play. Don't really matter. They are Just sophmores and have a bright future. I was Proud that these young men along with all the younger players off the bench never backed down from anyone. I like how some people get beat up over this PT stuff and some don't.:sssh:

Congrats Mason Co. AUGUSTA,you boys never gave up. Still see some bright spots on this team. Will be interesting in the regions on how the teams draw. Regroup Panthers. We are proud no matter what.

I can say that because when they really needed to pull together they did. I have seen this team play many games this year. They are a young team with lots of potential. Frankly they don’t need to show you anything. Really, It does not matter what I think as long as they believe in themselves.
