  1. I did not come up with that Idea just by myself. There is a thread " Rebound Stats "on this site. That’s what I kind of based some of what I consider a good rebound off of. I agree some of the batted around rebound are the hard ones to get. But running down a loose ball that no one could control on either team shows hustle but should it be a rebound? I thank you for your feedback, I keep what stats I can, I have asked Coach Kelsch before about some stats and how to track them. Unlike some people out there I was not born with a basketball in my hand. I have been a fan of the game for only about four years, that was my mistake. Being a non-native Kentuckian I come from at state where Wrestling was the sport. But I love the game of basketball; my wife told me it was a requirement prior to moving here.:thumb: I would not have posted any stats that I did not think was close, Shooting stats I have are correct. Assists I would not attempt to post because I know I am way off. Most players normally ask me points and rebounds. I tell them that the rebounds are low. I keep stats because I enjoy it. Coach Kelsch asks for the stats and I always tell him what is accurate and what’s not. If there were someone with a clipboard and a piece of paper somewhere else keeping any kind of stats at our games I would not have to do it. 5 coaches and not a clipboard amongst them. :flame: I know Coach Kelsch reviews game tapes and records stats himself. He does that because he wants them right. I have said before my stats our very un-official
  2. Boy was I off, I think it comes down to what you call a rebound. I look for the clean ones, not the ones batted around by five players and picked up off the floor.
  3. Just 21 as a team or is that all you know of. I would have thought it was more. Seemed like more. It all seems worse when you are losing
  4. Anytime, I would be glad to give you any stats I can. I won't say they are the most accurate, but they are close. But hey, I am just a parent with a laptop:sssh:
  5. Mofford led in rebounds for Augusta with 6, Hardymon, Groves and Staggs had about 3 each. Few stragglers amongst the rest of the team. I counted 16 but said 20 to be nice. St. Pat killed us on the boards I am sure and had alot of 2nd chance shots. What do you think atownjoe, sound about right?
  6. Good Luck Lady Bears, I hope to make it up to see this one.
  7. Started out as a tight game, Augusta held a one point lead at the half. Owens sat on the bench much of the first half and Augusta could not capitalize on it. Owens puts on a clinic in the second half. Good game Mr. Owens. Matt Groves led Augusta with 13, Jeremy Hardymon 12, Dustin Staggs 10 B. Hamliton 8, S.White 6, S.Cummins 3, C Mofford 2, J. White 1 Total of about 20 rebounds as a team and 19 of 37 from the free throw line. Just a ugly game to watch if you are a Panther fan. Augusta drops to 9 and 11 for the year. Augusta did win the JV game 40-24, Was a tight game like the varsity game, tied at the half. Turned it up in the second half on both sides of the ball. Chris Mofford led Augusta with 12 pts 10 rebounds, Brayde Hamilton 10 pts. 6 rebounds, Ty Kebs 8 pts 6 rebounds, Jo Jo Gray 4 pts 6 rebounds, S.White 3, J Crouch 2, M. Saunders 1 JV improves to 9 and 5
  8. I think I am right, I have him hitting 1 of 3 for the game. I do make some mistakes but it added up right.
  9. The Augusta 2nd half offense and decision making The officals were bad, but they were bad against both teams. I still think Augusta's bench is the key to the success of this team. The Jv plays more as a team at times. When the Varsity struggles to put up points the bench players have stepped up. They also seem to protect the ball better. They kept the team in this game.
  10. Perfect at home, no. A-town makes a statement in this one and wins by 16.
  11. Augusta comes out strong with a 20-8 lead after 1. Deming would battle back in the second and out score Augustsa 18-14. Augusta with an 8 point lead at the half. Deming would still come out fighting outscoring Augusta 21-17 in the third. Augusta holds a 3 point and the two would match points in the fourth 13 apiece. Hats off to Deming on fighting hard and never gave up. Augusta was lucky to hold on, had a lot of turnovers in the 2nd half. Good thing for the Panthers was Deming would match them on their end. Augusta would have to go into the bench after a few players getting in foul trouble early in the first half. Big game from the “BIG DOG” Chris Mofford posting a double double 11 points and 13 rebounds, also added 4 block shots. Way to come off the bench big man. Augusta was led in scoring by Matt Groves with 18 points Dustin Staggs added 13 J. Hardymon 9, B. Hamilton 7, S. Cummins 3, T. Krebs 2, J White 1 Augusta improves to 9-10 on the year JV Game was also won by Augusta 55-42 Chris Mofford led the team with 18 points and 7 rebounds Ty Krebs add 13 points and 6 rebounds R. Kelsch 8, B. Hamilton 6, J. Gray 4, J. Crouch 3, M. Saunders 2, S. White 1 Jv team now 8-5 on the year
  12. Augusta will be sporting something new this year, a new coach. Mr. Bill Pollack, new to the school this year. Have talked to him a few times and seems very egger to turn our program around and has coached before. Also returning a assistant coach in “Boots” Zigler (spelling). Nothing against Coach Kelsch, but he would even say that baseball was not his sport. I am sure he will stick around though. Would like to see these boys have some good luck this season. Maybe post a few wins. Not saying they will contend for a championship. Good luck to all teams..
  13. Augusta has struggled at home this year... I think they need to just play and not worry about the score. Just win big.
  14. People are asking about the freshmen. How are the JV teams doing, Records and Such. Who are a few players that from each team that will make a impact in the next year or two as they get Varsity time.
  15. Augusta will lose Josh White (G), Jeremy Hardymon (F/G), Matt Groves (F) all who have started every game this year. They will also lose Steven Cummins (G) who has started alot latey but not all year. Will return Juniors Dustin Staggs © They list him as a center by also can play forward. Will be the Senior leader of the team. Brayde Hamilton (F), who has lately been playing some good ball after a rocky start this Year. Word is that we will be getting back a Guard that recently left the team. I hope so we will need him. Joey Crouch (G), fast reminds me of Steven Cummins, has not played much Varsity. Sophmore Class, Chris Mofford, 6'6 Center, Good shot blocker / rebounder leads JV team in rebounds and blocked shots, second in scoring, . Has played alot of Varsity and leads them in shots blocked also.Has been improving well on the offensive end also on Varsity. Shawn White (G), will be called in to fill big bro shoes. He can do it. Just needs to work a little on his shot. Has been getting more PT as of late and is also improving Ty Krebs (F) Good shooter, leads Jv team in scoring, and FG% 53%,3rd in rebounds. Needs to shore up his defense. Lacked confidence early on but has been more aggressive as of late on both sides. Has played limited varsity ball. Jo Jo Gray (F) Second in rebounds on JV team. Decent shot but needs to commit to playing summer ball. Ryan Kelsch(G), good 3 pt shot, coming off a injury filled freshmen year is improving well. Have a couple of Freshmen in Michael Saunders who has played limited JV time but shows alot of potential, and Hunter Kiscadden (spelling?) has not played due to injury. But was a aggressive player as an 8th grader
  16. There are two officals on the floor. They also need to communicate, they normally do. In the case of the Bracken at Augusta game. I was at this game, the ref looked at the score board and not the scorers table. I was sitting right there. He even told a Bracken player who asked that it was two shots when it was 1 and 1. I knew right then that it was going to be a problem. His fellow ref(Chamberlin) signaled 1 and 1 prior to the shot. Shot was off Augusta rebounds, fast breaks, Bracken players stood there.
  17. On the site right now, I heard he was. http://athletics.unionky.edu/bsktball/mbsktbal/releases_06-07/070127.htm
  18. I know you did not ask but I have heard rumor about Hardymon from Augusta and KCU.
  19. During peacetime each state National Guard answers to the leadership in the 50 states, three territories and the District of Columbia. During national emergencies, however, the President reserves the right to mobilize the National Guard, putting them in federal duty status. While federalized, the units answer to the Combatant Commander of the theatre in which they are operating and, ultimately, to the President. Even when not federalized, the Army National Guard has a federal obligation (or mission.) That mission is to maintain properly trained and equipped units, available for prompt mobilization for war, national emergency, or as otherwise needed. The Army National Guard is a partner with the Active Army and the Army Reserves in fulfilling the country's military needs. courtsey of http://www.arng.army.mil/federalmission.aspx All National Guardsmen, Reservist, and Active Duty member know they can be called up for overseas assignment at anytime. It doesn’t matter if war has been declared or not. As a Vet of nine years Active Duty Air Force. I have had the opportunity of working along side some of the finest Guardsmen overseas in Saudi Arabia. They were proud to be there and not one said they should not be there. I contemplated joining the Kentucky ANG upon fulfilling my active duty commitment. But the logistics were not there, travel time, current job requirements. Had I joined there would be no reason why I would think that I should not go overseas and do my part. GOD BLESS OUR Servicemen and Women, Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard (yes they are overseas also), And Civil Service …… And their Families. Just as big a part as those fighting.
  20. Two times in one day I agree with Letstalk.:thumb: You are correct, is the same guy.
  21. Thanks Mustang!! All are now posted on the BB-Bracken results thread.
  22. They are bad, but not as bad as some others. I have seen them at a few games this year. But not together, it made it twice as bad.
  23. As far as Pelle goes, I have heard that NKU, Berea, and EKU. Have looked at him, maybe more. Berea has showed the most interest from what I have heard.
