Augusta has struggled at home this year... I think they need to just play and not worry about the score. Just win big.

People are asking about the freshmen. How are the JV teams doing, Records and Such. Who are a few players that from each team that will make a impact in the next year or two as they get Varsity time.

Augusta will lose Josh White (G), Jeremy Hardymon (F/G), Matt Groves (F) all who have started every game this year. They will also lose Steven Cummins (G) who has started alot latey but not all year. Will return Juniors Dustin Staggs © They list him as a center by also can play forward. Will be the Senior leader of the team. Brayde Hamilton (F), who has lately been playing some good ball after a rocky start this Year. Word is that we will be getting back a Guard that recently left the team. I hope so we will need him. Joey Crouch (G), fast reminds me of Steven Cummins, has not played much Varsity. Sophmore Class, Chris Mofford, 6'6 Center, Good shot blocker / rebounder leads JV team in rebounds and blocked shots, second in scoring, . Has played alot of Varsity and leads them in shots blocked also.Has been improving well on the offensive end also on Varsity. Shawn White (G), will be called in to fill big bro shoes. He can do it. Just needs to work a little on his shot. Has been getting more PT as of late and is also improving Ty Krebs (F) Good shooter, leads Jv team in scoring, and FG% 53%,3rd in rebounds. Needs to shore up his defense. Lacked confidence early on but has been more aggressive as of late on both sides. Has played limited varsity ball. Jo Jo Gray (F) Second in rebounds on JV team. Decent shot but needs to commit to playing summer ball. Ryan Kelsch(G), good 3 pt shot, coming off a injury filled freshmen year is improving well. Have a couple of Freshmen in Michael Saunders who has played limited JV time but shows alot of potential, and Hunter Kiscadden (spelling?) has not played due to injury. But was a aggressive player as an 8th grader

There are two officals on the floor. They also need to communicate, they normally do. In the case of the Bracken at Augusta game. I was at this game, the ref looked at the score board and not the scorers table. I was sitting right there. He even told a Bracken player who asked that it was two shots when it was 1 and 1. I knew right then that it was going to be a problem. His fellow ref(Chamberlin) signaled 1 and 1 prior to the shot. Shot was off Augusta rebounds, fast breaks, Bracken players stood there.

I know you did not ask but I have heard rumor about Hardymon from Augusta and KCU.

They are bad, but not as bad as some others. I have seen them at a few games this year. But not together, it made it twice as bad.

As far as Pelle goes, I have heard that NKU, Berea, and EKU. Have looked at him, maybe more. Berea has showed the most interest from what I have heard.

Congrats to these young men. Student Athletes, the student allways comes first.

Will have to agree with you letstalk. They did not favor any team more then the other. I would like too know why they did not have three officails for the finals and the semis also.

Just wanted to congratulate Dustin "Shooty "Staggs and Josh White for being named to the 10th Region All A Tournament Team. Very much deserved. Also to Matt Groves for being selected to the Academic Team. I know there is more players from other Teams. I don't recall them all. Could someone please post them all.

chosen1one....i am sorry if i upset you. i cheer for augusta because i love augusta basketball. in no way am i saying that augusta didn't deserve to win because my son didn't get to play. i knew he wouldn't get to play last night, so why did i go to the game? because i am a panther fan! saying that i hope bracken wins tonight only means if we couldn't have been in the final and win, that i would rather bracken win. i did not mean to offend anyone by that, plus if bracken wins tonight against bb and we only lost to bchs by 3, then we could have won. which only makes our team look better, because if bracken beats brossart, then we to could beat brossart. i know we can beat bracken, and it will happen when it most counts. it was a great game last night and i think every augusta fan is proud that we came so close, i know i am. i have been to all the games and i cheer no matter if my son plays or not. i hope this clears some things up, that is the downfall to a forum like this...people read your words and take it how they want, not necessarily how it was intended. i only meant to be gracious in our defeat, and nothing more.

Congrats Lady Royals, I know that this is one you all wanted for sometime now. How did Cline do for Mason. She is one of the Best PG I have seen play. They way she sees the floor is unreal. Really impressed me at the Lex Cath game.

Matt is a good player and Augusta would struggle even more without him. But as far as being the go to guy. Sorry, it has to be Dustin Staggs he has the highest by far FG% at 54.2. Second total points on the Team. They need to let him touch the ball everytime on the offensive end. Has the abiltity to make something out of nothing. He also leads the team in Rebounds 8.8 per game. Go to guy and team MVP DUSTIN "Shooty"Staggs
