Bracken County Lady Bears
ATown Pride replied to LadyBearMom's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Its because URIT is suspended. :sssh: Congrats to the lady bears. From what I have heard they have been getting some good play off the bench and have had a few good games in a row. Even the loss to Ryle was not to bad of a game -
Yes it has, I spoke with Demings coach today and he informed me that Coach Code did shake his hand. Good game, now move on.:thumb:

Dayton Boys Baketball Coaching Staff
ATown Pride replied to insidegame's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I will agree. I have been impressed with this coaching staff since we played them in a scrimmage early this year. They have a good little team that if they could get a few more shots to drop could give a few teams some fits. They seem to play well together and have alot of heart. -
It was a two point win by Lewis Co. 57-55. I am 95% sure of it.

I missed most of the first but the Panthers did come out ready today. They have to come out with the same attitude tommorow. -
I saw this too and was surrpised this happened. Normally you come to games as a team, play as a team, and leave as a team. Key word Team
-
Deming outplayed Augusta from tip off too the last buzzer. Augusta shot 23% from the field for the game and 21 rebounds as a team. The Panthers looked to me like they did not even want to be on the floor. I would see someone like Mason Co. bringing us behind the wood shed like this. I would never had thought it would be that big of a victory for Deming. The Panthers had better come out with a bit of fire tomorrow after a miserable showing like they had tonight. Show some Pride boys and play like you want to win.

Not alot of love out there for the Panthers right now. I think they could win the whole thing. They did start out slow this year. But in retrospect. They lost to Deming by 2 points in the first game of the year. A game Augusta had in the bag with six min to go in the game. There was a missed call at the end, the fans sitting in the front row center court know what it was. I will not say that is what cost us the game but it did not help. That was a hard game on our young squad and since have rebounded nicely. Our big men have been playing great in the last 4 games and our bench has really started to step up. Our gaurds might not be scoring much but as long as they play good defense and limit the turnovers we will be in all of our games. Good luck Panthers and play as a team.

Augusta takes on Deming on 12/26 at 6:30 Bishop Brossart on 12/27 at 3:00 St. Pat on 12/28 at 6:30 A-town as of late has been playing some good team ball. I think they can beat Deming by a good margin if our big guys keep playing the way they have. BB is a toss up in my mind. They have a defense that will give Augusta some fits. St. Pat again is a toss up to me. If the Patties limit Mofford and Staggs then our bench will need to really step up. Hamilton will need to get his shots but not force it.

10th Region Class A
ATown Pride replied to U Reach I Teach's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I for one have been very impressed the few games I have seen BB play in the past. I do belive it comes from great coaching. Mr. Code allways seems to have his team ready. They play great Defense. The offense is not the most exciting but I think thats because he has his kids play within themselves and do not force many bad shots. They may be a little bit down this year but will have a impact in the ALL A for years to come. -

Chris Mofford had a big night in the Grove tonight... 34 points 14 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Chris shot 73% from the feild. Great job big man. Dustin "Shooty" Staggs also had a big game with 26 points and 11 rebounds Brayde Hamilton added 16 points of his own. R. Kelsch 6, J.Gray4, S. White 3, D. Fryman 2 Augusta would lead this game going into the fourth 69-47, Silver Grove would go on to out score Augusta 34-22 in the fourth. Late game turnovers just about let this game slip away.
