Mason County 56 GRC 55

Final.

Like I said in the other thread, Mason Co. was very lucky to win this game. Very sloppy play and the dreaded foul trouble for Mason. Had they been playing Montgomery Co, then they would've gotten beat. Great game by P. Rogers of Clark Co., just an 8th grader.

Yeah I listened to the game... Lady Royals were very lucky to win this game tonight, but good teams pull out tough victories like this.

What about the bonus FT from Senior Torrey Chambers?

Very big freethrow for Chambers. Had she missed it, that would have given Clark Co. the time to get the shot they wanted without worrying as much. Listening to the stats after the game, I'm still amazed that Mason Co. won this game. The stat line for them sound bad. 20 bench points to Mason's 3. WOW.

Great game tonight. It looked liked Mason Co. let it slowly slip away throughout the third and the beginning of the fourth quarters. It ended up being GRC that let it get away in the last two minutes. I still can't figure out why GRC's coach didn't use the last full timeout he had on their last possession when things began getting very wild and unorganized. I guess hind sight is 20/20. Congrats Royals you definately played hard tonight to get a good win!!!

WOW, alot of good ball left for the young cardinal from GRC. She sure played like a PRO tonight

I have to say I am very proud of Clark. They were like 17 points down at one time and they did not lay down. Most teams would have quit. This game could have went either way at the end. Congrats Royals...Good luck against Bishop Brossart....

it is called survive and advance........ Mason County found a way to win and good teams find that at tournament time.

Good effort by both teams. GRC never quit even though they got down big early.. Seemed like they couldn't miss in the 3rd. Mason never gave up either though and did what they had to do to win. Not really sure about that and 1 continuation call to tie up the game near the end but it happens. Congrats to both teams... they gave it their all.

Amen brother what its about this time of year.Congrats ladys on the W.Great effort Lady Cards also to fight back.:dancingpa

Both teams showed a lot of heart last night. Clark couldn't hit the ocean from the outside against Mason's zone in the first half; lots of airballs from distance as Mason went up 29-17 at halftime. Second half was a different story; Clark hit a few threes and things opened up inside; they looked like a completely different team in the second half.

Mason looked down for the count, down 51-46 with a little over 2 minutes to play. Defense won the game; two huge stops at the end. Lady Royals survive and advance to play Brossart. They will have to rebound better and cut down on turnovers (18 turnovers led to a BUNCH of Clark County points) to beat the Lady "Stangs.

I thought that Menke played real good defense in the first half and that Reese moved better tonight than she had all year. In a 1-point game; it's often the contributions from the role players that make the difference. With 4 fouls late, Litzinger came up huge on the defensive end during the last few seconds of the game.

Congrats to both teams on a great effort!

The 20 bench points came from the best player on Clarks team last night, Prescia Rogers, other than maybe her age and the enviroment of the 10th Region Tournament, no doubt that girl should be in the Clark starting lineup. The lopsided bench scoring wouldn't have existed if Rogers is in the starting lineup. The next high score for Clark was 8 points, and then 4 and 3 from 2 different players.

Agree too many turnovers for Mason but its all about defense and Mason never got rattled and kept their composure and that led them to the 1 point win.
