Who will be the quarterback this year?

Any idea who pitched for either team?

Midland Tomahawks are loaded with talent that is all playing at high levels around the Tristate. Anyone wanting to see a really good team play should try to catch a game of theirs during the summer.

I am not sure who is the individual best however I think Combs and Stringer are the best freshman combination in many years.

Stringer pitched 3 innings and allowed no hits and had 7K's.

What types of aid do players normally receive from schools in these leagues?

You are absolutely right. That said, NCC is not "most teams" at the present time.

Pretty solid ball players. I am not sure the word "lottery" applies. They are not going to come in an take the spot of McDonald, Pangallo, Schulte, Weyer, etc... If anyone should be concerned or upset from a playing time standpoint it would be the next tier of players in my opinion. Kids like Gray, Freppon, Smith, Anderson, etc... These are the ones that I see would be competing for minutes this coming season that would be the most directly affected.

You are totally off base with your comments about this midland team. The now 15u midland tomahawks are rated top 30 in the country and have only lost to the flames in the entire Cincinnati area. They haven't even played many teams around here because they play out of town teams for the most part. You may have experience beating other "recreational" midland teams but I can guarantee you have not played the Tomahawks. If you have please specify your team name and elaborate.

I am not ruining anything for anyone. I think this team could be as good as anyone by the end of the season. There was a 9th region or nky thread several weeks ago where some posters were flat out suspicious at best of Beechwood and Stringer and Combs specifically. Some even likened their experience to that of a local rec league.

Looks like the Beechwood team that nobody gave much thought to because of their freshman aren't too bad afterall. Way to go BW. Keep getting better and proving everyone wrong.

I think the Camels have a couple of sophmores starting varsity. How are they? Do any freshman play varsity?

I realize he may not be playing varsity but does anyone know if Tyler Lyons is playing for Dixie or is he injured? In another thread someone referenced it but it was unclear if it was true.

That's laughable to many kids these days. EVERY recruit that Cal has had has been drafted into the NBA. Ask them what matters most.
