I4C
Took this game in yesterday at New Caths home field. They have done a lot of work to the field. Infield looks real nice. Game was a quick one with both pitchers throwing strikes and not much hitting. Couple errors were the difference in this game.

VH
Harris pitched for New Cath. Litzer (sp?) pitched for Cov Cath. Both kids pitched good games. Sam Kaelin finished up for the Breds after Harris and did a great job. The second pitcher for Cov Cath pitched well also.
Clyde
Sam Kaelin . I wonder if young Sam is somehow related to CCH legend Jack Kaelin? Jack graduated from NC, correct?
Oldtimebaseball84
Harris pitched for New Cath. Litzer (sp?) pitched for Cov Cath. Both kids pitched good games. Litzler for CCH started then Hester finished . Both first times out. Harris and Kaelin pitched well also. Both starters were quick workers, so it made it nice. I4C......Was also there......second time at the field this year (CCH / NCC Varsity game) and I agree with you 100% on the field. This one has to be added to the list of the "best fields in NKY" thread. True bounces on level cut grass..........

About the Breds field, I hope the Breds faithful appreciate all the hard work Tim Gray and Steve Kroger put into that field. These 2 guys put in countless hours on this field on a daily basis and it shows. Maybe we catch up at another game. Good luck the rest of the season. A tip of the hat to Tim and Steve, plus all the others who have put so much time and effort into making Moscher Field one hell of a field. I was there friday for the NC/BB varsity game, and the field looks AWESOME. :thumb: Although I still love the field up on the "hill" from back in the day. Can remember getting called out of class by Brother John on game days to go down and work on the field. I think at the time it was the only field in NKY that had a grass infield. Had that "short porch" down the leftfield line at 290 ft. and 307 to right, many a ball made it's way down to Carothers Rd. This is where I "cut my teeth" in the lawn care profession. :lol2:
Oldtimebaseball84
on another note........the cch parents along the 3rd base sidelines were also discussing and give a tip of the cap to both the CCH and NCC coaches who coached third (and I'm sure the first base side did as well.) Both were positive in coaching to not only their team but the opponent as well.....Recognizing hustle, and good play, no matter what uniform the player was wearing...... Good to see. LB, could you imagine playing on that field with the bats these kids get to use now a days, especially the ones from a few years ago. OTB84, I noticed that about the coaches from both sides also. Love to see that. It seems all freshman coaches have a great deal of respect for each other and the programs. Love games like that and they are always fun to watch. I miss coaching them too. Oldtimebaseball84
I miss coaching them also but makes it easier to "hand them over" to class coaches like we witnessed.
