I think Highlands will match up with Boone in the 9th next year...

I know most coaches are finalizing their schedules for next season. Are there any interesting matchups being planned for next year? Possibly teams that usually never play each other or tournaments that are loaded with really good teams?

when was the last time the winner of the All A won state?

I think the voting came right after SK knocked off Boone, so that might have had something to do with it. Once again, you can never really measure this because the two teams are in seperate regions. This was voted on before districst or regionals was played. I think that's why Darpel didn't get it.

They lose their PG and SG in Slade and McGee. I think NDA loses more in their size players Drees and Dickman. I'd still say NDA is the favorite.

Spring Schneider of Scott won the Loyce Meadows scholarship for being an outstanding player on and off the court.:thumb:

Is Drees going to play ball for the Tigers?

Has Nicole Dickman or Emily Drees declared where or even if they'll play in college? Oldguy maybe you could help me out on this one!

you can't make excuses for this. It's the post season, you play hard all the time, no matter what. Lloyd wanted to win. Earlier in the season they seemed to think they couldn't win. PLaying within 6 points of Dixie in the district finals made them believe. The Lloyd players played hard, so please don't take that away from them by making excuses as to why a team couldn't beat them by 35 this time.

It was a great game to watch for round II of the battle of Erlanger. I believe St. Henry won by 25+ the first meeting. Very physical from the get go. The referees were too inconsistent, which hurt both teams at times. This was a great turnaround for Lloyd who only won 8 games or so last season. Brandon Lenhof of St. Henry scored his 1,000th career point on a free throw tonight. I believe he finished the game with 20+ points. Josh Craddock and Charles Johnson were the leading scorers for Lloyd. Good luck to the Crusaders against Holmes, and congrats to Coach Mike Key and the Juggernauts for putting themselves back on the map. :thumb:

Good point, but sometimes youth and inexperience can be to their advantage. Maybe they won't feel any pressure or feel forced to make mistakes. If the Birds play hard and have fun, it might be a lot closer than we expect!:thumb:

Ludlow is a great team with a lot of talent returning. How will they fill Wofford's shoes? I think it WOULD be beneficial for them to throw a Conner or Holmes into their schedule. I am not a fan of their conference rule that says they have to play each team in their conference twice. It should be one and done, unless you meet in the post season. This really hurts the scheduling process for your coaches. Great year, and good luck next year to the Panthers.

Holmes was down 6 at one point, and they just looked like they wanted it more. Conner looked scared in OT. Like their backs were against the wall. Holmes brought in #11 to guard Long, and she shut her down after Long had about 4 threes. This was a great game to watch(the 2nd half).

great analysis, but I thought a couple of Miller's layups in the last minute should have been "and ones." She was getting hammered and nothing was called. Too many uncontested NCC layups. Great game though!

it was a great game to watch. Dixie didn't get the ball to the right person in the end. The last minute went back and forth with each team being up one and so on...great game!

HHS' press really hurt the Panthers. Ludlow pulled it close a couple of times, but HHS was too much. The Dougherty girl carried the Panthers with 22 of their 48 points. Great player, and fun to watch!:thumb:

both teams seemed tight from the get go...the second half was better to watch than the first...I am very impressed with Nicole Dickman's awareness on the floor. She has great awareness, and finishes strong. Katie Tierney brought the emotion tonight...she wasn't afraid to drive, dish, or shoot. Great game, and good luck to the Pandas. Their style and HHS is totally different. I am interested in seeing this game.

Ludlow is a very good team. However, I think their time will be the next two years. They will get the much needed post season experience this year, and make their noise next year, IMO. The young talent there needs to big game experience. This will give them that.
