  1. Ludlow is a very good team. However, I think their time will be the next two years. They will get the much needed post season experience this year, and make their noise next year, IMO. The young talent there needs to big game experience. This will give them that.
  2. What I meant was that it really doesn't matter who wins or loses...I guess I didn't sound sarcastic enough...SORRY!
  3. Not too sure about that...I can honestly say that no one really seems to have grabbed a wonderful draw...you can't shy away from anyone in this tournament...Dixie is playing well, as is Conner. NCC won't have it THAT easy! Good luck to all teams!
  4. The paper said that they had induced labor the night of the distric finals. When can she come back? That would be awful to see Boone knock them out without her getting to be there.
  5. This is amazing. The 9th and 11th regions put the top 2 ranked teams versus each other in the first round. Interesting.
  6. What a great draw across the board. This is why winning and losing in the district finals is so important. I will be bold here and call a final of Notre Dame and Conner.
  7. I would have to disagree with you on this one. The way Dixie has been playing of late, I think they match up well with Highlands and Holmes. I think they can beat either team. However, their hands would be full with Conner, that is, if Boone doesn't get beat by Conner.
  8. What grades are those all tourney players in? Anyone know?
  9. I wasn't knocking them in any way. What Imeant was that Dixie's 10-14 record was not indicative of what they are capable of due to the caliber teams they've played against. I think the first time they played Ludlow, they looked right past them and Ludlow got them. Tonight, Dixie looked ready to play, especially Katie Mayes. Very impressive. Good luck to both teams in the 9th.
  10. Game day, I am with you on this one. They are playing well, and they are prepared by playing a tough schedule.:thumb:
  11. I am going to be bold and predict OVERTIME here!:thumb:
  12. Does anyone know why Dixie's frosh Bowman hasn't been playing? She was in her sweats against Villa. She used to be their first person off the bench I believe.
  13. Ludlow (24-4) - Landrum 3 0 7, Jones 1 1 4, Wofford 3 4 10, Hardin 4 1 9, Ottoway 3 1 7, Daugherty 6 5 17. Totals 20 12 54. Lloyd (12-12) - Taw. Lockard 3 2 8, Molitor 2 1 6, Tab. Lockard 6 1 13, Mullins 2 4 8, Wood 0 2 2, Harper 0 1 1. Totals 13 11 38. Ludlow 16 8 9 21 -54 Lloyd 10 13 6 9 -38 3-pointers: Loyd 1 (Molitor), Ludlow 2 (Landrum, Jones).
  14. Ludlow held Lloyd to its season low. Ludlow was great from the inside with Dougherty and the other post girl. Ludlow had a season high for blocks in a game. Tough end for Mullins, Lockard, and Harper. Good luck to the Panthers in their quest for a district title.
  15. maybe on the boys side....but the girls side is better than other girls districts as a whole...
  16. I will take Lloyd by 10 at home. Coach Key has the boys playing together, and they are chompin at the bit to see the regionals.
  17. The records indicate that Sara Fox is the all time leading scorer. As a matter of fact, Hutchinson's numbers are not handy. If you know these off hand, I could find out for you. Fox is listed at 1600+
  18. COULD be, but won't be. Has more raw talent, but does not work as hard.
  19. It was Tabitha. She needed 7 points and got 11 before the fracture. This puts her number 2 on the all time scoring chart. She will be back by weak's end wearing the old Rip Hamilton nose guard!
  20. The Lockard girl caught an elbow on a rebound, no harm intended. She has a double fracture, but will be back (masked) for districts. Good luck to both teams. :ylsuper:
  21. Lloyd Sara Fox Sharon McCormick Tabitha Lockard Beth Fields Jackie Botts you have to reach deep for this group!
  22. You are right, they did win the championship this year. I believe they beat Beechwood and possibly Highlands en route.
