  1. I don't think it will come down to Sneed. It will come down to Newport's role players, and when Sneed slashes, and PRice is on with her 3s, they might hang. This team has turned it around, and they deserve as much recognition as anyone. Congrats to the Lady Cats, and you're right InDaZone, let them play and determine the outcome on the court, not with the stripes. I can't wait to see Monday's games.
  2. Neither game was very exciting to watch. The first half of the Boone/Dixie game was ok. The teams tonight just looked tight. Holy Cross v. Boone on Monday night.
  3. any thoughts abuot tonights games? I think they should both be good match ups.
  4. [quote= I can't wait until the Regionals and to get refs who let the kids play the game.......The boys side is getting the 5th Regions Refs, I can only hope that the girls get the 8th 10th or 11th where they let them play the game... I am pretty sure that the girls are also getting 5th region refs. Not sure, but I think they both get the same.
  5. I totally agree with you. When HC and NPT played in the All A, it was Sneed, and not Lantry carrying their team. She takes her teammates to levels unimaginable by ordinary players. I think they are both great, but I would want Sneed over Lantry. IMHO
  6. I would have to argue with you on that one Futurecoach. I think Tamara Sneed from Newport is comparable, if not better, than LAntry. Lantry is a better shooter, but Sneed handles the ball better and, when she wants to, plays better defense.
  7. Exactly. Don't count the Colonels out this year...they are definitely playing very well!
  8. Don't count out the Colonels just because of the loss of Gronefeld...they still have some talent, and mostly on the mound, but some young people could step up for them and make them a contender...
  9. Holy Cross v. Highlands Dixie v. Boone Newport v. Lloyd St. Henry v. Notre Dame
  10. 2001 was probably one of the closest. 48-47 Dixie over Calvary. Other than that, it was 8+ most of the other years. However, the game did seem a little closer than 15 points. When Bowman and the Millers are on for Dixie, they are a tough team to beat.
  11. Yes, the Lloyd crowd for last night's game was bigger than any of their boy's games. I think it actually outdid the Dixie student section. Dixie played well, and scoring 75 point opposed to 41 three nights earlier really helped them. Both teams played good. Now on to the next level. Good luck to both teams.
  12. One of the closer 34th championships in the last decades...Congrats to the Colonels...
