  1. I wonder how many other regions do this, but this year, in the 10th region, each winning team(district champs), get to host the first round regional games at their home courts. As for the semis and finals, they are played at the same, neutral location. Any thoughts on this format?
  2. It has to be all or nothing, boys and girls. As for the vote, it must be a majority to change it, as far as I know. I've heard that in the past, it's always been a 2 to 2 vote for the seeding with Dixie and Lloyd voting for seeding and Ludlow and Villa voting for the blind draw. That's what I've heard, but that may be a false statement. I know that last year it was 4-0 vote for a non-seed.
  3. Domination is a 9 point win nowadays according to BSH...the same with their 12 point win over Pendleton.
  4. I am not sure that I agree with you about the domination comment...Brossart's bench was much deeper, but the Lloyd girls never gave up. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way...
  5. If I were to call a sleeper, I'd go with Holmes. The 34th will play out in the next two weeks as Dixie is at Ludlow and Lloyd.
  6. St. H - Gamm 8, Geiger 10, Pillai 12 LM - Tab. Lockard 16, Wood 13, Taw. Lockard 10
  7. Bracken is a great team. Down big in all 3 games and battled back to tie all. However, they were just on the wrong side and some times there were questionable calls. Good luck to the bears, they'll do fine.
  8. The finals will have Greenup, who is playing real well right now, and the winner of Villa and Scott. Villa was up 13 or so at the half on Scott.(Game in progress). The Sexton girl from Greenup is a player!
  9. Bracken did impress me last night as well. Many times they had the chance to cash in, but they kept fighting. Good luck this year.
  10. Lloyd is not in the All A for right now due to a larger enrollment in their frosh class at the high school.
  11. per today's enquirer.... http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061214/SPT030201/612140362/1078/COL02
  12. Smith will get back. He is about a month behind everyone else due to finishing 2nd in the state in cross country this year.
  13. this has been discussed in the NPT/Villa thread...just an FYI...
  14. exactly my point...none of us know the situation and I think we can't judge the coach or the player here...
  15. I would say that is up to each individual coach. Everyone is different. I am sure that most coaches probably have their players sign contracts or the like at the beginning of the season agreeing on team rules and what not. So, in this situation, I am not sure what, as a coach, I would do. There ARE arguments for both sides. I am sure if it were the 10th player off the bench, it would be a much easier decision, but in this case, it's a VERY tough decision to make. Glad I don't make those decisions!
  16. Yes, I don't think it's anyones business as to why, it's just a shame that someone with as much talent as Tamara would miss something like this...I hope you're right and she DOES come to her senses...she's an exciting player to watch.
  17. This is the 3rd game now that Tamara hasn't played. Anyone have any news? Possibly NPTWildcat. If she's off the team, it would be a shame to see the best player in the 9th out for the season.
  18. Wow, Brossart is playing very well. NCC has to be considered a top contender for region runner up.
  19. Wow, that's a huge blow to the Birds, but they sound like they'll be ok later on...
  20. Tabitha Lockard, a senior from Lloyd Memorial, scored her 1,000th point last night versus Villa Madonna...it was fitting to see her younger sister, who is probably going to finish with better stats, grab 20 rebounds and score 14 points for her 2nd double double in as many nights. Congrats to Tabitha!
