Wow very suprising conner is a very good team... io have not seen holmes play this year but i thought that conner would be right there to play this weekend and give everyone a tough game

I posted earlier that Conner is the one team that I thought could win it all besides NDA or Boone, but after seeing Holmes play of late, I don't know how Conner is going to stop both Webb/McGee.... Weaver is indeed a player......Close game, but I am going with Holmes in this one....

Holmes was down 6 at one point, and they just looked like they wanted it more. Conner looked scared in OT. Like their backs were against the wall. Holmes brought in #11 to guard Long, and she shut her down after Long had about 4 threes. This was a great game to watch(the 2nd half).

This was Conner's game to lose. They could not keep Holmes out of the lane. They also did not seem to know what a rebound was at any point in the game.

Coach Kim continued to try and settle her team but that was not to be had. They played very nervous and at the final ticks the ball handler, I think O'Neil, drove into the lane for 2 instead of shooting for 3. I guess losing by 1 is better than 3 but she missed the shot anyway.

There was quite a bit of poor officiating as well, but that I think is expected this time of the year.

There is no one that will stop NDA in the 9th now that Conner is out. Really thought that the Cougars were going to be in the finals to try and stop the Pandas.

The Lady Cougars got pushed all over the floor, but they never pushed back. I thought Holmes got away with a lot, but the refs were consistant from the first tip to the final buzzer.

 

As to the final play, Kat O'Niell didn't have one of her better nights. She had the ball in her hands as time would down. Other than getting the ball to Long (who was hitting from three point land all night), the best chance to tie the game was to drive and hope for 2 points and a foul, just didn't work out that way. Still a solid year for Conner. Something to build on.

Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs they've had the pieces of a strong team all year its a matter of putting it together. How did Weaver do for Holmes she is a gamer.

Big Colonel you prove my point in your statement. I didn't say that the calls were not made for Conner. Poor oficiating all together. You state that the Bulldogs got away with a lot! That's my point. I am all for playing an aggressive game but when pushing is not called it is poor officiating.

And they'd have let Conner get away with alot too, if Conner had pushed back, but they didn't. Don't blame officiating because the Cougars didn't fight fire with fire.

Right or wrong, one team or two, a foul is a foul and should be called by the officials.

It seems you all always have to bring up officials and the impact they had. I just wish it were a rule that if you sign up your child to play basketball, you have to ref 3 games on that youth level. By the time they get in high school it would be a much better game to sit and watch without having to listen to simple minds blurt out things they know nothing about. "I paid my five bucks, now I get a license to yell at the refs". Why dont you yell at the players when they miss an important shot? Why dont you yell at the coach when he subs in someone you disagree with or runs a play you think is stupid?
