That is correct. Tuesday night games have Conner-Holmes and NCC-Dixie.

The winner of the NDA vs. Boone County game, had better understand that the winner of this match up will still have to play two more games, before finding themselves going to Diddle. Wining this game, doesn't do anything but move the winner on to the next round.....

What a great draw across the board. This is why winning and losing in the district finals is so important. I will be bold here and call a final of Notre Dame and Conner.

While I will agree with you about NDA, the team that has really impressed me the most of late is Holmes... Yes that is correct Holmes...

 

I posted earlier that Conner is the one team that I thought could win it all besides NDA or Boone, but after seeing Holmes play of late, I don't know how Conner is going to stop both Webb/McGee.... Weaver is indeed a player......Close game, but I am going with Holmes in this one....

I agree with you about Conner, but Holmes I'm not so sure about. Highlands beat Holmes by 15 less than a month ago I think. Conner recently handled Highlands though most of the game was competitve, but a 34 point Conner victory over Holmes less than a month ago is pretty strong.

and would have agreed with you over a month ago, as NDA just crushed them at Holmes then also.... But that team and the team that I saw play are two different teams....

With that field and setup, I'd say that the Conner Lady Cougars win the 9th Region.

I read today that she wasn't going to be coaching vs Boone County on Monday... and regards to the OldGuy's post about Conner taking Holmes lightly - I don't think Conner will be taking anyone lightly after the St. Henry game in the District Tourny.

The paper said that they had induced labor the night of the distric finals. When can she come back? That would be awful to see Boone knock them out without her getting to be there.

Highlands and Ludlow could be very interesting.........Ludlow is very underrated and Highlands must be playing a whole lot better than I saw early in the year based on the score from last night.

Of course not one should take anyone lightly at this point of the season....but players sometimes do, even after everyone told them not to, it happens... Conner beat Holmes badly as did NDA earlier in the season, but after only losing to Boone by 3, and giving NDA a good game in the 35th District finals....this really isn't the same team, and Conner could get caught overlooking Holmes....

 

It has been know to happen to even better teams than Conner, throughout the history of the Ninth Region.....both in the Girls and Boys Tournament...

 

BTW, not at all rooting against Conner, as I know far too many girls on the team and students of Conner who will be rooting for their school to win.....

If Coach Darpel is not there to coach, Boone wins as Coach Fookes just plain out coaches the NDA asst.'s.(too bad she can't play for them also) Otherwise, this game is too close for me to pick and choose. NDA is playing better than everyone in the region but as we all know, Boone lost to St Henry in the Dist last yr to come back and win the region.

 

I will take Conner in the lower bracket.

Highlands was searching for its identity early after Crowley went down. They seem to have come together, and from what they displayed last night against NCC, they can be dangerous when running on all cylinders.
