Conner didn't play well the last time they faced HC. They also had a few distractions since it was Homecoming that game. But I do have to hand it to Holy Cross, they just flat out, out hustled and out played Conner in there last match up. If Holy Cross plays the way they did last time the game might be close. I still have Conner winning by 7.

Congrats to Conner! I said it in another thread, that it is hard to beat a team three times in a row! Congrats to the Lady Birds for having a great season! I would love to see Conner win the region!

I am going to have to say Conner will win the region if they can get past Highlands. I know that Highlands has beat them two times already but it is very heard to beat a team three times in a row. If Conner can get past Highlands, Conner will win the region. If Highlands beats Conner in the first round, it's Highlands region to lose!

Let's not get to far ahead of ourselves! It will be a tough game tonight and I am sure a great one to watch!

Should be a good game! If Long, Beasley and the rest of the Conner girls have a good shooting night, I will go with Conner by 5. But I think they need to shut Behrens down in order to win.

I dont know about that NCC. It is hard to beat a team 3 times...but we are getting ahead of ourselves...both teams need to make it that far. Either way, great win for the Cougars! Congrats to the team and Coach Warfield. She did a heck of a job coaching during that game!

Is the game at Boone or Conner?

I think it has been pretty good. Since it is a morning paper, they don't seem to have the box scores of some games. Perfect example of this is when Highlands beat Boone County, which was a big upset, and there was only a small paragraph about the game. But other than that, I think the coverage has been pretty good.

Conner had this game under control for most of the game besides the 4th quarter. NDA was down by at least 20 at one point but cut the lead to 9 in the 4th quarter. Have to give it to the Pandas though, they didn't quit! Great win for Conner! Congrats!

If NDA can contain Conner's shooters, NDA will win. If Long, Beasley, and a few others on Conner's team have good shooting night, I wouldn't be surprised if Conner pulls off the upset. But I am still going to say NDA wins this game.

I am still going to have to disagree with you about the selfish play... I think there were some selfish MOMENTS on all the teams you mentioned but I don't think that those teams play that way all the time! - Miller, ended up at Anderson in Ohio.

Going to have to disagree with your comment about the last 4 teams not sharing the ball. I watched Conner alot last year, and I never got that impression... and FlatRock you don't get to State by not sharing the ball! :thumb:

Why does it matter Oldguy? As I said before, Conner has been very successful over the last two years under Coach Warfield. And I just don't understand why you are still bringing this subject up.

That is a very true statement!

Personally, I think that it seems like its never enough with the players/parents that decide to move. I mean Conner just had a great season - 20 wins, I don't think that has happened in awhile - and 33rd District Champs. They have some great talented young players too. So who knows? Coach Warfield has turned a less than .500 team into 33rd district champs and an above .500 team in two years. What more could you ask for?
