32minutesofpressure Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Final Conner 57 HHS 46 Some say this is an upset, others disagree. Either way, Conner is moving on! Good luck and congrats on beating a quality first round opponent!
extackler Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Wow! As they say, "it's tough to beat the same team three times in the same season. Anyway, congrats to Conner. Good luck as you move on.
quickslick Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Hail to the SCARLET BLUE ...... Great job to both teams!
malachicrunch Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 CHSalum07 told me. Congratulations Cougars, and good luck!
statmanhensley Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Before I logged into BGP a few minutes ago, I went ahead and made my predictions for the regional winners and Conner is my favorite to win this one. Congrats to the Lady Cougs.
AllKnower Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Congrats to Conner they made plays when the HHS kids didn't. I just hate to see a game called by refs from out of region. Why play all year long with your regions refs and then the most important time of the year lets get people we have no idea how they call. With 2 minutes to go Conner had shot 16ft to HHS 0. I guess Conners man defense is not as aggressive as HHS zone. I think the final total was 20FT for Conner and 5 for HHS 3ft for HHS with 20secs to go. I would say Conner is the runner up to ND. HHS kids didn't seem to handle the pressure of being the favorite very well at all. Just make you think how BC and ND do it every year as the favorite. I cant see how its wasn't and upset. But good luck Conner you earned it tonight.
Cardinal Fan Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Ha Ha Love it baby! Congrats to the Lady cougars!
Bleachercreature Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Congrats to both schools, good season Highlands, see you down the road Cougars...

Highlands also had to foul on numerous breakouts for Connor to stop sure layups. Conner was the better team tonight. Hats off to them.

Phoenix13 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Congrats to Conner! I said it in another thread, that it is hard to beat a team three times in a row! Congrats to the Lady Birds for having a great season! I would love to see Conner win the region!
BigColonel Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Birds did an excellent job of using the full court press to get back into the game. Hodges, Kremer, and Long did a nice job of making big shots down the stretch to pull the Cougars back in front. Big win for Conner who should be a heavy favorite in the first semi-final Friday.

cshs81 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 C-O-U-G-A-R-S, Cougars, Cougars FIGHT! Congratulations to the Lady Cougars and Coach Warfield.
AllKnower Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 No, the rules are not different but how they let you play is different from region to region. Lex officials let you play much more than 2nd region refs.
