My biggest problem at most of the sites mentioned is parking. KCC is a really good place to watch a game, in my opinion the best of any place mentioned, but getting in and out was a nightmare last year, with cars literally parked on the travelled part of the road down past the school. I think that split sessions would only make it worse, as people leaving the first game would interfere with those coming to the second game. The 56th is only going to have one game a night, with boys and girls tournament over six days, to deal with these problems.

Come on, give the guy a break. He is first class all the way. I can't say whether call was good or bad as I wasn't there, but I know the gentleman, and he is not "gutless". I will vouch for his truthfulness. If he said he didn't hear the horn, he didn't hear it.

Powell has to be the favorite as they have already beat Estill twice, but it won't be easy. Powell in a close one.

Powell County is second only to PCC as far as overall facilities go. KCC has excellent building, but parking is terrible. Hazard doesn't compare to either, and truth be told, Estill is better. What about Leslie County? Region was there a couple of times and I heard no complaints. And why is it a problem for folks in Hazard, Hindman and Whitesburg to travel to Stanton, but not for those of us in Beattyville, Booneville, Stanton and Irvine to go to Hazard, Hindman or Whitesburg? The region should be at Powell County once every four years.

I heard Coach Creech on WCBJ after the game, and he said he wished Wolves were still in 56th. So do I. Historically it is where they belong. They have very similiar athletic programs to Lee and Owsley especially, and hot rivalry with Powell. I don't particularly want Estill to move out, as they have really made District competitive in both basketball and baseball, but I sure would like to see Wolfe come back. Lee was real sharp last night. Good to see at tournament time. Landon Johnson really played well.

Powell County certainly can host the region. I am not sure of amount is seating, but I would believe more than 2500., and there is ample parking.

Did the Professor get a promotion? Nice to have friends in high places.

Its no doggone wonder all you Owsley Countians look so good with stylists Gary Mays and Bill Hall on the job. Not to mention, my personal hair guru, Poodle Barrett is a native Boonevillian as well.

I don't think Btownfanatic is a Lee County fan. He certainly needs to relax. I mean Breathitt is what, 16-2? Beat Hazard at Hazard? Somebody knows how to do something, evidently.

Lee vs. Owsley, At Owsley, District Tournament. Seventh game in two seasons. Lee had better not overlook the Owls.

According to KHSAA scoreboard. Was much closer before WCBJ went off air.

I tried to tune in CBJ and it was just GONE.

Lee tough again at home. Great game, both teams 14th region contenders.

No bigger fan of Daniel Neeley than me, he definitely would have been one of the top players, if not the top, in the 14th if he had stayed at Owsley, but he is not really D-1 material. He can (and should) play at a lower level, though. I wish he had stayed at Owsley so I could watch him play this year, but on the other hand, I'm glad Lee doesn't have to deal with him.

Powell will beat Owsley. I hope Owls prove me wrong.

Lee may be a longshot, but they have beaten both Powell and Knott rather convincingly in the last few days.

Lee dominated 4th quarter, and led by 22 with less than a minute to go. Lee put in subs and Knott's starters made up some ground in last minute.

Probably Jared Pelfrey, Harvey's son. He has been hurt, and has not even dressed out yet. He is going to be a good center, but will be behind becauswe of injury.

The Professor's point about defense and shooting accuracy is the one I have been trying to make in a couple of threads, however the Professor is more eloquent. I believe that teams don't get enough credit for causing the other sides shots not to "fall", thereby diminishing the defensive effort. Good job Owls for hanging tough, but also, good job Engineers, for finding way to pull out the win.

Had other commitments and I wasn't able to get to the game, but I was able to get bits and pieces over the radio. Sounded like Romans was too much in the middle for Lee, and that Lee's shooting was stone cold, but I was pretty far away and signal would fade in and out. It did sound like a typical, physical, Powell/Lee contest, and Powell was obviously the better of the two last night.

I'm not the guy making excuses here. I admit that Lee was fornunate to win last night, no argument. But when you imply, as you have that Jackson "probably should have won" , it does appear that you intend to diminish Lee County's effort, and may God forgive me, I am sensitive about that!

But you do see my point, Atticus, I hope. I will soon have to explain these relatively clear matters to you in a way in which they may be understood.
