Danville offense looked much better against SW but will need to improve its defense greatly to beat the Rebs. BC defense is very solid and looks like the days of old, but there are some concerns with offense. Very tough call to make and I feel special teams and turnovers will determine the winner. I'll pick a close one...Danville 20 BC 17 Good luck to both teams, this game will not prevent either one from making a title run, but winning this rivalry is always good.

I agree with a mixture of the comments posted here.....Danville DOES have plenty of athletes. Make no mistake about that. However, there are too many ME'S and not enough WE's on this team. With that said, Danville did beat Bardstown the last time, and Coach Harp should have his boys ready because of the scare Bardstown gave them the second half before. I like Danville in a grind out win....21-13.

Green vs Danville Prestonsburg vs NCC Championship will be rematch with Danville vs NCC Winner? Too hard to predict, but if Danville does make it this far I think they will finish the deal.

Ross Hempel will close hard, but eventually lose to Dooley in A boys.

2A appears to be the toughest class to get to the finals IMO.

EJ is a class act and a great competitor. Hopefully he will recover quickly and lead Frankfort to the A title. It is sad he will not be able to play tonight, but the show must go on. Danville wins, 31-14.

I do know that when a meet is cancelled, it is usually because of dangerous weather. It may not be on the top of the list for a coach or school to start handing out refunds when their first priority should be that of safety for all.

No doubt they are good, but very beatable.

Wow! Stallworth of Fort Campbell looked awesome at the UK Wildcat meet this past Saturday breaking the meet record in the 60. Plus Hempel of Danville turned in a 2:01 in the 800. Very impressive numbers for Class A boys track so early in the season. I was a bit surprised to not see St. Henry or Bishop there. The competition was excellent and I feel they both could have shown some of the Class A muscle that exists.

True, BB and St.H are deep, however, Danville is deeper than they may seem. Solid in all relays, sprints, and hurdles. Hempel is back as the 800 state champ and they had a good long/triple jumper. Overall they are weak in field events but have solid points in nearly every running event. Plus with Harrodsburg gone and runner up last year LCA losing major talent, Danville would seem to have even more opportunities to qualify in more events for state. I forgot about Trigg and their relays. They have been awesome for a couple of years and I would not be surprised if Ft. C can reload in some areas. JMO.

I agree, Danville is very solid. Bishop Brossart and St.Henry appear to be strong too. Did Trigg Co. lose a lot? Are there other teams I am not thinking of?

With the merger of Harrodsburg and Mercer Co. eliminating Harrodsburg from Class A, the graduation of outstanding athletes at Bardstown, Ft. Campbell, and others, who do you see as the favorites to win the Class A boys track and field championships this year?
