Lunatic1 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I have been to 2 track meets this year, paid admission and then had the meet canceled before we even got through the sprints. (weather, rain) At $4.00 per person for both members of my family it makes for a $16.00 investment. What is the policy. I think we should get a refund or at least a rain check for the make-up. These are Middle School so I think the $4.00 is a little high anyway..any thoughts?
EQUUS GREVYI Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 What happens in the same scenario at a baseball or softball game?
Lunatic1 Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 At our school we do not charge for Softball and we have not had that happen in a baseball game because they call them before it starts. At one meet there were people that had just paid and had not even made it to a seat yet. It was snowing!
WeirdHenry Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I do know that when a meet is cancelled, it is usually because of dangerous weather. It may not be on the top of the list for a coach or school to start handing out refunds when their first priority should be that of safety for all.
Just a Dad Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Speaking of track, can anyone explain why the Kentucky Enquirer posts an "Honor Roll" for Ohio but not for Kentucky? Any ideas on how to keep up to date on our side of the river?

You are certainly right about that, but cold weather and snow were present before we paid. It would not be hard to hand out rainchecks...or just tell people to that they will get in free if it is made up.
Lunatic1 Posted April 25, 2007 Author Posted April 25, 2007 Good News! In an act of kindness to my pocket book...the host of the meet tonight is not charging admission due to the many cancellations! Very nice and much appreciated! I guess the whole family can attend!
