Powell over Estill in an upset. Lee over Owsley by 10 or 12 points. Lee over Powell by 5 or 6 points.

Cody Gilbert is one of the best players in Eastern KY, possibly the best. If he is able to come back and play this year Wolfe Co. will be a threat to beat anyone in the 14th Region.

Probably a second tier player in the 14th. He is a decent player when he is hitting which is about half the time. His primary support comes from family members until they get suspended from BGP.

Breathitt keeps improving and if they don't pull an upset in the post season this season I look for them to have a good summer and be a contender next year.

He can shoot the lights out.

Best of luck to Cody. I hope he gets to play against PCC, I was looking forward to watching him. You have to give Hazard credit for a huge revenge win in this one. To bad Cody couldn't play it might have been a different outcome.

I'll take this one back, Buckhorn has quit at the end of the year and have some tough games coming up against a much improved Powell Co. team, an excellent Leslie Co. team and Jackson City. They looked like a deer staring at a headlight against Hazard. Hazard played terrific defense.

Hazard is the weakest team in the 54th District, to think otherwise is to overrate them. Hazard - Overrated Estill Co. - Underrated

A good win, they have a pretty good streak going.

Try it again, they got a late start and it is on the Pre-Game at this time.

Poor Brossart, they will probably get beat by at least 30 going against these super Lee players. The best of the best.

Team Records Tyler Bailey PCC 16-3 Team Records Justin Hicks Hazard 10-8 Team Records Cody Gilbert Wolfe 5-13 They each lead in specific categories and a strong argument could be made for either one as the best player in the region. Cody is the more prolific scorer and rebounder of the three, but his team has performed the worst. He obviously is physically stronger than either Bailey or Hicks who are both only juniors and will be two of the top returning players for 2006-2007. Hicks has very nice all around numbers except for rebounds which can be expected due to his position. Bailey does not take as many shots, but he doesn’t have to as his team is superior to the other two. Bailey has the leading Three Point Percentage and they are all three nearly equal in Free Throw Percentage. Gilbert and Bailey being the more similar type players could be interchanged with their teams and their statistics would probably flip-flop. At this point it is like comparing apples to oranges to peaches. The fact is each has tremendous ability or neither of them would be mentioned in this discussion.

Hazard is no where near the Team Perry Central is. Anyone who thinks so is just kidding their self.

A good win by Clay Co. and one of the toughest places to play by an opposing team.
