  1. Holmes is just way too athletic. They should control the speed of the games as well as the contest on the boards. Holmes 72 Dixie 60
  2. I hope this works out for Terry. He's a very nice kid. This could be just the break he needs. Good luck to him.
  3. Steve Beagle owns a construction company in Richmond, Ky.
  4. Wow! As they say, "it's tough to beat the same team three times in the same season. Anyway, congrats to Conner. Good luck as you move on.
  5. What schools do the non D1 swimmers go to? There's a lot of local talent, but all you hear about are the ones that go onto the big schools. Are there any small schools in the state with swimming programs?
  6. When's the District final?
  7. I don't know much about them, but I believe they are a young team. I've noticed some names from the paper box scores.
  8. Wow, TNDC! That could become a thread of it's own. Believe it or not, I still my shirt claiming me as a proud member of that fine organization.......
  9. Hey crunch don't get me wrong. I was part of the cheering section from grade school thru highschool (late 70's mid 80"s). I remember the great crowds that turned out for the games. Coach Shields was an icon with the community and student body. It was great to cheer the final scores of the football games to the opposing teams. Things would get rowdy. Remember the "coach Shields give us a sign" cheer as the clock ran down towards another victory? It was fun. For whatever reason it's not there today.
  10. I wish the the BB Birds all the best in the tournament. That said, you have to except this is a football school and community. Has been and always will be. I've been to swim meets, tennis matches, and baseball games where you could count on two hands the number of HHS student in attendance. Games are won on the court, not in the stands.
  11. Just joking with ya Mexi. I know what your saying. Maybe I should have tried to find a "dry" county (campus) back in the day.:thumb:
  12. If school was canceled today, shouldn't the games tonight be canceled?
  13. Is there such a thing as a "dry" campus? I never found one to be.:sssh:
  14. Makes them look pretty smart doesn't it? They're a bunch of quality players in this area that only need the opprotunity.
  15. Congratulations Peko. Best of luck to you. Your Warrior Dance will be missed:thumb:
  16. With so many schools being out today because of the weather, does that mean the games tonight will be canceled?
  17. Your right. The posting about the coaching staffs have been positive. I was referring to the the different interest the players develop as they get older. Please don't take this as a knock against the coaching staffs.
  18. The key is keeping them interested!
  19. Reller and Popovich will also see some time on the mound along with Towles. There's one or two from the JV squad last year that may turn in some quality innings. Muench should be the team leader at the plate as well as 3rd base. Others in the starting lineup will include Charlie Gold, Terry O'brien, Kody Rosenhagen, and Sam Liggett.
  20. He deserves much of the credit. He truly has "passion" for the kids and the sport.
  21. I heard there were about 45-50 trying out for the team this year. The numbers are increasing in the right direction. This is a positive sign for the Birds. Keep up the good work coaches!:thumb: Highlands does not have a Freshman Baseball Team.
  22. And for that, I will always be indebted to you (I guess)lol.:madman:
