I thought Spencer Bankamper had a solid game on both sides of the ball. He had some nice tackles on D and was running between the tackles hard. In my opinion he's the JV player of the year. I agree the D-line was extremely tough today. Johnson clogs everything up the middle. Cameron Dierig also forced and fumble which was also advanced by Neinaber.

I'm afraid all this "love" is going to Jeremy's head. Hey coach win a baseball game...........Just joking buddy. I had to inject some sarcasm.

WOW. That reminds of a time many years ago. I was in the 6th grade and our AllStar Game was on Halloween. I remember walking from the house in the south end to HHS. On the way I stopped by a few homes for a treat. I got my trick or treat in and then got to play at David Cecil Memorial Stadium for the first time in my life. Oh the memories............... Now, back to the game.:thumb:

Your right! Awards and recognition like this doesn't come unless you surround yourself with quality coaches. I don't think there's another staff in the state of Ky. as good as the one at HHS. Although, Dale does set the standard and makes sure his coaches follow his lead. He deserves the title of Coach Of The Year.

Look for interviews to be held this week. With the FB bye week, it will allow those conducting the interviews time to address the position. I'm looking for the baseball program to move forward in the very near future.

I didn't attend the game, but I heard it was physical as indicated. Also heard there were some personal fouls as well as an ejection for HHS. Nice road win for the Birds though.

I agree. Combined, this group has it all, size, speed, quickness and strength. The Jr's. have received valuable game time experience. As long as they all stay healthy the rotation will cause opposing teams issues. Just when you think you have one of them figured out, they'll throw another one into the game for a series or two.

Makes no sense to me. I don't know anything about Dayton-Belmont, but the NCC game will be a hard fought game. Sounds like a recipe for injuries. I hope Conner is deep in talent this year?

Likewise, Highlands respects the program at Lex. Cath. Confidence goes along with game experience and a few wins. I'm looking forward to a good highschool football Friday night. Has a safe journey to and from the game.

Josh was in uniform today at practice. Didn't participate in much of anything. It is good to see him on the field. My opinion would be not play him this week to allow additional healing if needed. But my opinion doesn't count.

Nice job Birds. After last season it's nice to go in there and get a win. Congratulations to Spencer Bankamper. I wasn't at the game, but heard he ran the ball very well.
