25-14 Birds win!

I've got to give Michael Labor a big "that a boy" in this game. After being ill most of the week, including saturday and driving 4+ hours on a bus I thought he played at his usual high level. This young man is showing his leadership everyday. And to the rest of the Birds, another team win. Nice job!:thumb:

I think this group is coming along just fine. They certainly work very hard and dedicate over half their practices to 0-line session techniques. Keep in mind, one of them has only been playing football for two years. And if I'm correct, he didn't see the field much as a freshman. Keep up the hard work guys!:thumb:

I remember the game well. That was as full as I ever recall the stadium being. Back then the games started at 8:00 and I can remember fans sitting in the stands at 6:15. Oh, and Roger was going out of his mind controlling the gate before heading to the sidelines. That was comical. The game by the way was awesome.:thumb:

Rob's a good guy and quality teacher. I don't mean to take anything away from him. I don't believe he has the same passion for the game that Jeremy does. I can't imagine why he would be given another chance. Like I said, the program needs to continue moving forward not backwards.

I can tell you from my son's point of view he doesn't feel in any way satisfied after last nights game. He's disappointed and knows there much improvement needed for this team to be successful this season. So, it doesn't seem any type of victory was achieved last night. It's back to the weight room on Sunday and back to the practice field on Monday. Go Birds!

Believe me the school has heard from many on Jeremy's behalf. Not just from baseball families, but also those that know what the program means to him.

That seems quick, since the resignation wasn't official until Monday evening at the Board Of Ed. Meeting.

I don't agree with your remarks about Coach Johnson. I think he should be congradulated on the job he's done with the program in 3 short years. His reasons for leaving the program would be respected by most men. Now, I do 100% agree with you about Jeremy. He loves the sport, knows the sport and loves the players. He should get a shot at moving the program forward. This should be an interesting off season for the Baseball Birds. I hope the decision makers do the right thing!
