Yes you are correct. One parent didn't even wait for the game to be over. He confronted Pratt at the end of the bench before the game even ended. The other parent waited until the game was over then confronted Pratt on his way to the locker room.

It was some players parents that were whining because their kids weren't the all-stars this season. And people wonder why some of these kids have bad attitudes, all they have to do is look in the stands and see mommy and daddy and then they will know why. I think that there are some parents who need to step back and really take a long hard look at who is responsibe for their sons play and attitudes!

I'm not saying he was trouble, but there was a point in the game where Pratt needed to settle him down and get some confidence back. Antonio was always the leader on the team and we went as he went. But it is also easy for fans to coach from the bleachers too. I just would have liked to see Pratt step up and settle him down.

This game could come down to free throw shooting and surely Ashland won't shoot as poorly as they did against Rose Hill Ashland-48 Fairview-45

Why feel bad for Coach Pratt? As the coach of the team, it is his responsibility to set the tone for the team. If a player is getting out of hand with his play, it is the coach who should step up and take control of the situation. I think if Pratt would have let Antonio sit on the bench for a minute and compose himself, we would have come up with a victory.

I think both players got caught up too much in banging on each other, therefore taking both of them out of their normal games. As for Euton, it seemed he didn't really get into the game until the 4th qtr, which he played great in, if he were that aggressive going to the basket the whole game, things might have been different.

While it is true that officiating didn't affect the game, I was unhappy with how they let the kids play physical for the 1st 3 qtrs and then changed the way they were calling the game in the 4th qtr. It really didn't matter that much to me, since I was a neutral observer, but it does frustrate me because of the inconsistent way that officials have been calling games. As for Ashlands FT total, RH started fouling Ash with 4 1/2 min to go and sending them to the line, which as it turns out, was a good move since Ash couldn't capitalize because of their poor FT shooting.

Once they get to regionals, they will have to shoot free throws better, or they will be sent home packing. Those are easy points that they have to take advantage of because from here on out, the teams they play are going to be better competition.

Brandon Williams gave Ashland a big lift with his play tonight also. He slipped in behind RH zone defense for several key baskets and battled hard on the boards all night long. And of course, Adam Cannoy was his usual all over the floor hustling self.

You are correct, some of the calls were very questionable. I was sitting right behind the basket on RH end and couldn't believe some of the calls the officials were making. But Ash didn't help themselves with their poor free throw shooting either. This game shouldn't have even been close.

McDavid and Euton played each other very physical tonight and the refs let them play that way for 3 qtrs, then changed the way they called the game in the 4th. Euton didn't really play that well until the 4th qtr, then he actually looked like he wanted the ball. All you can say about McDavid is that he just had one of those nights on offense, but he still contributed on def and on the boards.

Lets just say he is a work in progress. Physically he isn't at a varsity level yet. Once he matures into his body he will be fine.

Good win for Ashland, but in the post season if you don't hit your free throws you generally lose. Ashland missed 19 FTs tonight, with most misses coming in the 4th qtr

Like I've said all along, almost every team in this region can win on any given night. This game totally opens up the region now.

I heard west won 47-42. Big shocker if this is true.

Why worry about what a players % is inside the arc? I have no idea what Antonios is, but is probably right up there since most of his shots inside the arc aree layups and dunks. The majority of shots that he misses during games are 3 pointers, therefore decreasing his shooting %. I just don't see your point on this one though, since Vanhoose shoots alot of 3 pointers also and his % and Antonios % are roughly the same. :confused:

Personally from watching Chase play, he just isn't strong enough and coordinated enough to really compete well on the varsity level YET, and i emphasize yet. He looks like he is still getting used to having that big body and when he does mature, remember he is still young, he will be a force on the inside. If he will really work out in the weight room and do agilities to establish his footwork, he will be dangerous in this region because nobody has his size.

No matter how many shots he has taken, Owens and Vanhooses shooting % is very close to one another, it is just a matter of Owens having to do more for his team. He also avg 4 assists per game,and it could have been more if his teammates would have caught some passes from him that they just weren't used to getting in the past.

I look for this to be tough, physical game with Boyd Co pulling it out Boyd-58 Fairview-52
