I would have to agree with Owens being the POY, he has really been a great player all season. I think Vanhoose and McDavid are both pretty even for 2nd place, and should have a great race next season.

Depends on how "Player of the Year" is defined...

I have an opinion of the most COMPLETE player (both ends of the court) but too often POY's are scorers only.

Several players had great seasons but it is hard to argue with Owens. 30 ppg, excellent rebounder, ft'er, fg %, and is, for the most part, responsible for the County rise this season. McDavid, McGowan, and Vanhoose were solid as well but I'll take Owens as poy. :thumb:

Hard to argue with Owens numbers, not only did he avg 30 per game, he also had 8 rebounds per and 4 assists per game. He has shown all season to be the dominate player in the region and his team was 2-0 against Vanhoose and Russell, his closest competition.

I agree 100% Boyd Co. has had a major rise with the addition of Owens! He gets my vote for POY! and I totally agree with McDavid, McGowan, and Vanhoose earning a 3 way tie for 2nd a Close 2nd at that!!!!!!

Yes, I forgot about McCowan!!

Anybody heard of Casey Jones? He at least deserves a mention at 22.5 ppg, 8.2 boards and 3 apg.

Many great players, but as far as ppg and impact on their team, I'd give it to Owens!

But you have to at least give mention to Vanhoose, McDavid, McCowan and Jones. They all have had a good year and helped their teams greatly!
