So did you have West Carter winning tonight? I don't think anyone loses any credibility just because they had Morgan Co. winning. That's why tonight's game is considered an upset.

Owens and Vanhoose...mid major at BEST!!! Marshall, Morehead.......you guys would have us believe they're going to the ACC or Big 10!!!

Also Russell's record last year was 18-13....This year Vanhoose has been their Primary leader with a record of 14-12 so far....

 

Last year Boyd County's record without Owens was 5-22, this year with Owens their record is 15-10 so far with only 3 region losses. First player in 30 YEARS to average 30 pts a game.

 

With that in mind your make up your mind of the definition of Player of the Year.

yeah, your probally right, mid major at best, and the way the 16th turns out mid major players, I wouldnt even mention, matter of fact, I swear them to secrecy if all the got was MID MAJOR d-1, I mean come on, how many other 16th region players can you name that got to that level in the last ten years?

They are both getting interest from D-1 schools. Kentucky is looking @ Vanhoose and word is Illinios is looking @ Owens. So, it could happen. You never know. You are we to say they can't make it to D-1?

Its not an article picking one player over another, it is simply an article about how McDavid, Owens, Vanhoose, and McCowan are the front-runners for the award. :thumb:

They are both GREAT players. Which ever one wins it will be well deserved. I think Owens will win it because of his average but I feel Vanhoose SHOULD win it.

I dont think so....If anything Blanton has had an off year due to the arrival of Owens. I would have loved for this team to have gotten along better and played together better. I would have loved to had seen Blanton average about 15 pts a game along with Owens. :thumb:
