  1. My thoughts exactly. :thumb: I can't stand to see UNC win one single game and looks as if I'll have to be for the Dookies as bad as I hate to admit it. Duke by 2
  2. Not a jealous bone in my body. Just stating facts about Dook and their preferential treatment by the media and refs. Like Dfenz said, Duke should move up in the polls next week by losing twice this week.
  3. .....and speaking of those commericals, that's reason #27 to HATE DUKE.
  4. Duke and K both have been helped into Final Fours and a couple titles by many a referee's help. Even Stevie Wonder has seen that....and everyone else also. Chat sites across the country are filled with 'Dook Cheats' and 'The Ref's gave that one to Duke' posts. And don't even get me started on how unfair coach eyechart recruits using those Cheverolet and American Express commercials.
  5. I take it Duke couldn't find a way to extend the game for another possession or two?? Odd how they seem to go in the dumper when it's officiated fairly, huh?
  6. Duke will still be in the top 20 tomorrow. ESPN will see to that. Reason #16 why I HATE DUKE.
  7. Right you are, Dfenz. Donovan is quicky gaining the respect he deserves for being one of college basketball's great coaches. He owns Tubby at the moment and looks to continue that domination this year and possibly next also. If truth be known, there's an abundant bunch of UK/Tubby fans who secretly wish for Donovan to replace Tubby someday....but they'd rather die before ever publically admitting it.
  8. I revert back to an earlier post. Tubby supporters HATE to be presented with facts. It drives them nuts.
  9. Right you are, mobaar. Funny how every time someone disagrees with Tubby's recruiting or team play, they're automatically labeled as not being a UK fan. Tubby supporters find it difficult to post facts about why Tubby is a great hire for Kentucky, other than the obvious that he is a good guy, which I totally agree. Heck, Jimmy Carter was a great guy, but a terrible President. I feel the same toward Tuby....great guy, terrible fit for UK basketball. I've posted numbers and FACTS why he isn't getting the job done. Instead of posters slamming me for supposedly 'not' being a UK fan, I wish they'd post numbers and facts to prove me wrong. I'll be waiting.
  10. Just for clarification purposes only.....I AM NOT a Louisville fan...just one that is tired of Tubbyball and the tailspin that he's put UK basketball in the past 8 years. Unlike you, I'm tired of 10 loss seasons, being ignored by top recruits, ( Brandon Wright and Hansbrough to name a few ), watching unc, Dook and Florida play for the national championship instead of UK, team turmoils, watching great in-state talent go elsewhere (can you say Chris Lofton?..and now Bud Mackey ), Tubby Smith post game shows ( where the only positive is hoping he completes a sentence ), and a divided fanbase. Also, I'm tire of just 'hoping' UK will win against 'any' opponent instead of the good 'ol days when we were EXPECTED to win. Tubbyball has destroyed those hopes.
  11. I take it you enjoy regular 10 loss seasons and early exits from the Big Dance and really get a big enjoy sitting in front of your TV watching other college programs battle for the trophy in April??........ and you're wanting me to believe you're thrilled about Tubbyball? Yeah, right. :creepy:
  12. Not so short memory in what happened after they got here. Crawford tried to leave after experiencing Tubbyball, so did Morris and Bradley even entertained thoughts (pubically I may add) of leaving the program also. .....and oh yeah, RONDO DID LEAVE! Need I say more?? HS recruits notice these little things. Never again will Tubby/UK ever be in the running for a top 10 HS recruit. Word of Tubbyball has spread across the country like wildfire..... they want to go to a program that will allow them to showcase their skills. That won't happen with under Tubby's system. If Kevin Durrant had been so silly to sign with Kentucky instead of UT, he'd be backup to Bobby Perry and Sherray averaging barely over 10 ppg. Enough said.
  13. Tub must go. The survival of the UK basketball dynasty depends on it. I, too, agree that Donovan wouldn't come to Lexington. 5 years ago, yes he would have. Not now. Why on earth would he leave sunny Florida with that kind of recruiting tool? Unless UK can pull off a hire to replace Tubby like unc did, it could be many years before Kentucky can recover from Tubbyball.
  14. ........need I say more?? Amazing.
  15. It's refreshing to know that some fans are actually seeing my point......
  16. Heh.......you're one of thousands who have the same wish. Since the pep band moved from center court and reduced it's numbers practically in half, you can hardly hear them in Rupp anymore, especially if you're behind them. And the song selection is vastly outdated. They're still playing the same old stuff they played 5+ years ago.
  17. Absolutely......:thumb: ......and it's clearly obvious that Tubby supporters hate to be presented with facts.
  18. Be sure to ask the UNC fans in about 10 - 15 years if it made a difference in hiring Roy Williams....especially after they overtake us in the all times wins and NCAA banners. Pitino had a dynasty here as Roy is building in Chapel Hill. Tubby is gradually brick by brick tearing down our dynasty. Rick had the UK fanbase united. Tubby has seriously driven a wedge in it. No doubt if Rick had stayed at UK, we'd still be menitioned in the evening talk shows and ESPN telecasts as a dominant program. That's no longer the case with Tub.
  19. It boggles one's mind that some TrueBlue UK fans would rather never see another Final Four appearance or another championship banner hung in the rafters of Rupp and also be content with regular 10 loss seasons than to admit that Pitino was a much better coach for UK than Tubby. Simply amazing. .....btw, I stated in my opening post this was for 'discussion purposes only'. Absolutely no reason to bash me for my stats and suggest I follow another team. That's sorta childish, don't you think?
  20. I wish someone at Kentucky would do something about the UK band. It's absolutely horrible. Once is was one of the best in the SEC...now it's a total joke.
  21. Here's the updated stats comparing Rick and Tubby's coaching carreers at UK.....just for discussion purposes only. Percentage of games ranked in top 5: Tubby 16% Pitino 59% (53% if you include probation year). Number of games in top 5: Tubby in 326 games ranked 54 games in top 5 Pitino in 269 games ranked 142 games in top 5 Number of Home losses: Tubby 18 (about to add a whole lot more) Pitino 5 (7 if you include probation year). 10+ loss seasons: Tubby 4 (in 7 years - soon to be 5 in 8 ). Pitino 0 (1 if you include the probation year). Average number of losses per year: Tubby 7.9 (about to push that up over 8 ) Pitino 4.8 (throwing out the 1st year) Games played as #1 ranking: Pitino 10 Tubby 4 Games played as #2 ranking: Pitino 44 Tubby 14 Games played as #3 ranking: Pitino 33 Tubby 10 Games played as #4 ranking: Pitino 18 Tubby 15 Games played as #5 ranking: Pitino 37 Tubby 11 Total games with top 5 ranking: Pitino 142 Tubby 54 Team Turmoils: Tubby 2 Pitino 0 Transfers out of the Program: Tubby 14 (with many more trying to) Pitino 7 NBA 1st round draft picks: Tubby 2 Pitino 10 Rick Pitino’s 1st year 14-14 probation team averaged more than 10 ppg than ANY Tubby Smith team except 2. Tubby has beaten 4 teams seeded 5th or higher in 9 NCAA Tournaments, and just one since his first season at Kentucky.
  22. Adams is definitely a tool at Magoffin. Even if the game is boring, it's always fun to watch Dan.
  23. They'd better be practicing free throws if they expect to win the region. Ellliott is a great FT shooting team, while Russell struggles. That could be the difference in the final outcome in Morehead. BTW......defenz looks as if he's got the form down pat. Maybe the Russell squad should take a look at his avatar. The guy never misses.
  24. 3rd quarter does Morgan in again. Seems as if they've been outscored in every game they've played in the 3rd quarter. Someone needs to light a fire under them to start the second half......or maybe they should just stay on the floor instead of going to the lockerroom at halftime.
  25. I read on another chat site where UK (Hobbs) is only sending text messages to Pettigrew...no actual recruitment. Anyone know if this is true or not? If so, Tubby and UK has made a huge mistake on this one too....(can you say Lofton?)
