This was a very competitive game tonight.

I keep waiting for Morgan to run off a bunch of wins in a row and establish themselves in the 16th. Maybe this will be the start of something for them.

Good win for the Cougers.

Definitely a surprise..... Sure thought West would win this one.

West did a good job at the FT line by hitting something like 18 of 19 free throws and Morgan missed something like 15 of 27 free throws. Great, hard fought game by both teams.

Cougars opened the game much differently than their previous 7 games in which they scored and scored early. Morgan led 17-2 to begin the game. West crawled back in it as well and Michael Hollingsworth shot very well for the Comets.

 

Morgan Co. was paced by excellent shooting from Sophomore PG Cameron Dunn who finished with 15 points I think.

 

Morgan was horrid at the line and late in the 4th when they could have sealed the game by 8-10 points they missed 9 consecutive FT's. They finished 12-29 from the stripe.

 

West Carter was without the services of Justin Wolfe and Morgan was without 2 starters Stephen Barnett and Brandon Ferguson.

 

Good road district win for the young Coogs. Next up is Greenup County at Greenup (Saturday)
