Seems like he hit .475 that year for BC and the team as a whole batted .405, not too shabby if I must say so myself.

Hard to argue with Owens numbers, not only did he avg 30 per game, he also had 8 rebounds per and 4 assists per game. He has shown all season to be the dominate player in the region and his team was 2-0 against Vanhoose and Russell, his closest competition.

:thumb: Cannoys play in this game may be the most overlooked of the night. He completely shut down Blair with his defense. Blair had been playing great as of late and Adam really took him out of the game.

He has the potential to be a good hitter if he would quit dropping his hands.

The way this season has gone, I'd give them a 50/50 chance. Any team in this region can win or lose on any given night.

Its hard to argue with 30 points a game though, not bad for someones 1st year of varsity basketball. As for Vanhoose, he may or may not go to a higher level. He is a slim built player who is going to have to get stronger and more physical to make it at the next level.

Freshman or not, the kids at Elliott Co can flat out play. This will be a perimeter game since neither team is very deep inside the paint. This game will hinge on whether the rest of Russells team shows up to help Vanhoose. I'm taking Russell by 2 over Elliott as Vanhoose sinks a 3 at the buzzer to win it.

I think heart and desire have been a question for the LIONS this season, but I also think all the new faces on the team this year has had an effect. They don't seem to have gelled the way a tight unit would and there are also jealousies on the team with some players having problems with other players. But I think stuff that like goes on with every team.

For my money, I'd take Vanhoose as the best shooter, but as far as the player who will most help their team come tournament time, I'd have to vote for Owens. Seems he has to carry the load every night, so it would seem he has the most influence on whether his team wins or loses.
