  1. I definitely think a shirt and tie is appropriate. It is a great life lesson for these kids that are representing their schools...
  2. No. I think it is the defensive coordinator....
  3. Good for Miles! It would be great to see him stay in the area. Miles' ather Dave was also a big deal at Newport in the early 1980's and went on the EKU and went on to play on their national championship team...
  4. Good news for Mr. Cecil! I wish him all the best:thumb:
  5. I don't know if that is true or not, but please be careful in these types of remour spreading...
  6. Haven't heard anything official, but he was the one at the fieldhouse inspecting the facilities on Wednesday. I imagine we will hear something early this week...
  7. Fifth straight loss for Scott, including three straight on their home court during this tournament...
  8. I heard from a fairly good source that they are down to three candidates. Two are assistant coaches from nearby schools and one is from out of town. I know that the candidate from out of town inspected the weight room and facilities on Wednesday, but I have no idea if he was offered the job or was just in for the second round of interviews. If the decision hasn't officially been made at this time, I think it will happen very soon...
  9. Scott was down big for nearly the entire game. It wasn't close until the very end. Dixie started out hot hitting several 3 pointers. I think 15 of their first 19 points were 3 pointers (?). Dixie didn't play well at all but survived for the win...
  10. Is the middle school coach one of them?
  11. Any word on who got the call back for the second round of interviews?
  12. I'm sorry. I meant Brossart. That was the evenly matched game I was talking about. Last Friday night's game between the two was fairly close...
  13. The Scott / Silver Grove matchup should be good. Both teams are pretty evenly matched.
  14. Scott started out down 9-0 and kept it within 10 into the third quarter. The Camels broke it open late in the third and fourth quarters...
  15. Great story. I know him only from football and it's nice to see a good bio like that...
  16. Will the game be played at new Campbell County school or at the old school?
  17. I heard they began contacting the first round of initial interviews late last week...
  18. Congrats to the Eagles. Great win.
  19. Kind of unrelated, but worth mentioning... Tuesday night was my first trip to the new gym at BC. What a great facility. Very nice looking place.
  20. I'd love to see Scott get the win in this one, but they have seemed inconsistant at times this year due to injuries and having a young team. I'm looking forward to seeing Brossart for the first time this year Friday night...
  21. From Friday's (Jan 4th) Enquirer Prep Roundup: SCOTT FOOTBALL: Scott athletic director Ken Mueller said Thursday that the school has received "about 20" applications for its vacant head football coaching position. It stopped accepting applications Jan. 1. "We're just getting ready to put the committee together and then we'll go over applications," he said. "We've had a lot of out-of-towners apply. I think we've got some good prospects." Former coach Casey Fisk, who went 7-24 in three seasons, resigned in November after leading the Eagles to the school's second playoff appearance. The program has produced just one winning season in 30 years of football.
  22. Browning (78/79/80) was later a head coach at Dixie...
