Dont get me wrong coach, I know that the new equipment was badly needed. I think all he built was one of the squat racks and a couple of the benches. This was like 10-12 years ago so the ones just took out may not even be the ones he built.

All the stuff looks great but in a way Im sad to see some of the old equipment go cause my dad built some of it and that was something he was always proud of.

Watched him against us in the Pike County Bowl last year and I coundlnt agree more.

It looked to me that 6a was primarily Lexington and Louisville schools. I think the biggest EKY school I seen was Bell and Johnson Central (both 4a) I could be mistaken though. Ive said all along that with that few of teams in districts they have to have fewer playoff seeds for competitions sake. 4.5 teams per district? Which one is the .5(insert your weakest team in the district here LOL!!)

Theyre the two outside LBs on D and ted will be fullback and tim is backup QB on offense.

Havent seen him out there yet. From what I hear hes had Baseball and school commitments that prevented him from coming to practice. I beleive he wll be one of the best backs in the mountains this year if he stays healthy and keeps his head on straight.

He seems real enthused to me whenever ive seen him, hes one of these kids that just wants to hit somebody, at least thats what I observed. IMO this kid will be something special if everyone just leaves him alone and lets Coach J and Coach Copley and the rest of the staff work with him.

I agree, the 2 marquee games should be on saturday. And ive said for years that the 2 best teams in Pike co. should be playing in this game and thats it (If its not Pikeville or Belfry then so be it.) The other games are just a waste of time.

I like that idea. I liked the old format better with the 2 "marquee" games on saturday at Pikeville. No disrespect to Belfrys field (How could I DIS that place it awesome). But im more old school when it comes to the PCB.

There are 3 teams in this district that are in competition for region almost every year. I agree there is a sharp dropoff after that. But, how many districts in the state have that many region contenders in it. Answer:Not many. Im not saying its the toughest but any district you have to beat Hazard and Paintsville to win cant be called weak either.

Isnt that ironic, Im a Pikeville alumnist agreeing with Coach J about how good our school system is and I mispell "GET".:laugh: Oh well I guess if I hadnt had weight lifting class I could have learned better.

On second thought, maybe youre right. Lets all trade our squat racks for yoga mats and spend time in the weight room stretching and lifting the spirit and lets see how far that gets these boys in the 4th quarter.

I want my Panthers to be good at all sports and I of course root for them all, but football is king down here in Pikeville.

I agree with that list minus SF and phelps. The rest are in the hunt almost every year and 2 are in our own district. Its funny how our critics used to cry about how we played in a "Weak" district.
