  1. I have tried to to read these posts and overlook some of the remarks, but your posts seem to stand out and get under my skin. Congrats to the Rocks! They deserve our respect and I have stated that. Ryle earned the respect of our entire community this season and played with passion all season. They came up against a really good team and lost in the Championship game. They are now and will forever be in the record books as 4-A Ky State Runner Ups. They were still playing football, learning how to compete in a championship against all odds while thousands of other schools have been home for weeks. Show some respect for once. Someday soon a NKY team will be standing in your shoes. It's my hope we will show class.
  2. I think the purpose of this thread was to congratulate the 2006 Ryle Raiders on a successfull season and wishing them all the best in life. This group of seniors have played their last game for Ryle and have given much to build this program. We all should thank them for what they have given to this community. The coaching staff dedicates themselves to our children, team, school and families and want to build a winning tradition. They have earned our support and respect. I am more proud today of this team and program than I have ever been. My wife and I were at home last night watching the replay of the finals and at half time we both looked at each other and said, "Man its weird to be home on a Friday night". I for one can't wait until next season. As I stated in another post...Remember what he built and build upon it.
  3. Congratulations Rocks on winning #17. Raiders...I know this loss is hard to swallow but just know that all of Raider Nation is proud of you. This was an outstanding season and you should be proud of what you have accomplished. Remember what HE built...and build upon it.
  4. I for one would like to see a campaign to name the football field after Randy Cooper. It would be a fitting tribute to a great man.

  7. No one was ejected. Ryle came out healthy and this should be a great game. One of the personal fouls came when a Ryle player picked up a yellow flag and handed it to the ref. One came when a Henderson player pushed a Ryle player and the Ryle player pushed back and he was the only one caught. One came for jumping on the back of another Ryle player during a Hendo extra point and I cant remember the last one.
  8. All I can say is, Congratulations Raiders!!! I am so proud of this team. Each and every young man on this team are playing together as one. They played with passion and intensity. The Raider Nation came out and supported their team and we get to make a visit to the Big Pizza Box. See you all in Louisville.
  9. Raiders...I am proud of each and every one of you! You have worked long and hard for this. I believe this is your first District Championship. Stay focused and continue to take one week at a time. You have the support of an entire region now. GO RAIDERS!!! CC worked their butts off tonight and deserve our congrats on a great season. Your never gave up and played the game with heart. Both teams helped put NKY on the map.
  10. Congratulations Raiders! Get some rest and get back to work asap. CC will be hungry for an upset and will be looking for revenge from the midseason loss to Ryle. Stay focused. The good news is CC has to travel and play us in our house.
  11. The thing that bothers me most about what each of you are discussing is the fact that our team has to win this week in order to move on. The team needs to focus 110% on this week, win and then focus on next week. I know true Raider fans are hoping for a long deep run into the playoffs and to be playing in the finals, but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. We did that last year. Go Raiders!!!! Remember What He Built!
  12. Kudos to the parents who stood out there all afternoon with leaf blowers trying to dry the field. Suprisingly enough the field was in pretty good shape. I think the high winds and sun helped dry it out.
  13. I know it's being a little technical, but it should read: AAAA CC(4)/Boone(1) Dixie(3)/Ryle(2)
  14. By the way Rock I should have also said Thanks! Ryle still has to pack a lunch this coming week and go to work.
  15. Campbell County (4) vs. Boone County (1) Dixie Heights (3) vs. Ryle (2)
  16. Congratulations Raiders!!! Now focus on what you need to do next week.
  17. Ryle players were at the field house in uniform and taped up when the word came. I for one can't wait until tomorrow night. This will be a great game. Not too sure how the field will improve in 24 hours but at least we will be able to celebrate our seniors and have the opportunity to walk with them before the game.
  18. I think most Raider fans this year prefer to let the team do the talking on the field. There was alot of criticism last year for fans being too vocal in their support of the Raiders. I predict a great district game. GO RAIDERS!!!
  19. This is a good matchup. I would put my money on CC. They are better than people give them credit. SK's defense is questionable. CC 34 SK 21
  20. This game was wet and muddy. The Raiders continue to roll. The field is a disaster.
  21. Just curious why the game wouldn't be completed today? Most of NKy was delayed due to weather and most of them are rescheduled to start where the game left off this afternoon. Seems to me that a game that is this important to T & X would be completed even if you have to line them up in a sandlot.
  22. I didn't even notice the new decals until I just read your post and went back up and looked at RU's pics. Great game by the Raiders! Does anyone have stats from the game? The Raider defense was outstanding. The stands were packed with the Raider Nation. It's nice to see so many former players/students and fans all come together. I have to believe it helps the team in tight situations to have such a large cheering section. RU...the pics look great! Keep em coming.
  23. What's your point? As I read it, BSF is admiring several players. Are they all related? I heard #34 was named player of the game from Saturday...what's not to celebrate? Chapman, Gross, Gillum and several others stepped up their game and deserve to be recognized. Last I checked this is the forum to do exactly that. By the way I too was impressed with the play of #13 on Friday...as well as #'s 2,3,7, and especially #90. Oh and let's not forget the pick by #8. Way to go Raiders!!!
