Not too surprising particularly given the way the 4A brackets were set up this year. Ryle was the preseason favorite in NKY 4A and other than stubbing their toe against rival Boone Co they have proven to be the best in a very competitive district. While some people have described NKY 4A as "weak", I have been saying for several years that NKY 4A is as good or better than the rest of the state in 4A with the exception of the big 3. I offer Ryle's convincing wins against Meade Co and Henderson Co as exhibit's A and B in support of my argument. We'll see just how far NKY 4A has come when Ryle matches up with Trinity. While Trinity ought to be the favorite, I do not expect the blowout like recent matchups between Trinity and Ryle.

If you think that was shocking, you must not play anybody where your from. Ryle has been on the map all season.

Very good game from Ryle tonight, but what was up with HC's punting/special teams early in the game?

Game not as close as the score indicates, more like 59 - 7 , all other HC scoring was done on the subs and Murray was pulled after 4 minute into the second half.

I have some good shots from the game. I really had to dig through my photos because almost every one of them has Murray in it!

All I can say is, Congratulations Raiders!!! I am so proud of this team. Each and every young man on this team are playing together as one. They played with passion and intensity. The Raider Nation came out and supported their team and we get to make a visit to the Big Pizza Box. See you all in Louisville.

Ryle totally dominated this game from start to finish. 35-7 at the half and they scored on their first possession in the second half. Almost all of Henderson CO's td's were from Raider mistakes (back to back personal fouls and penalties). HC didnt really have any sustained drives on the Raider D.I believe they had more pentalty yards than actual yards gained.

I was impressed with HC's rb (Lightfoot?). Tough kid and very fast.

 

Also, I was sitting behind a few Trinity coaches/scouts and all they kept talking about was Ryle's tenacity and physicalness. They were very impressed with the Murray/Gray duo.

 

Congrats to all of the Raider players, fans, and coaches.

What a game by the Raiders. Henderson has some nice speedy RB's but the Raider's D was all over the place all night almost everyone of them had standout plays and Scottie Gray and Vince Murray were all over the field!

 

On offense Ryle's run game just couldn't be stopped Vince had another huge game I'm sure its right around that 200 yard mark he had some amazing runs and punishing stiff arms. There was a great catch by Josh Morgan for a 47 yard td after he broke a tackle at about the 15 yard line. Adam Schmitz and Gillum blocked and ran the ball great too when they got it. Dustin Huth had a really nice catch for a TD at the TE position. It was a great overall effort, and Ryle is really playing to there fullest potential. They had some dumb penalties, but it wasn't nothing that people who are complaing who weren't even there are stressing. It was a hard fought game, and Henderson played hard the whole game, and brought a nice crowd. Go Ryle!! 9-0 @ Ryle this year way to honor your number one fan Mr. Cooper!

I agree. I think it comes down to Ryle is a team that has taken on the persona of their head coach. Ryle has a bunch of head hunters including Murray, Gray, Schmitz, and Pridgen among others.
