Ryle 59 Henderson County 28

Featured Replies

I really wonder how much of a measuring stick Hendo is? I saw them play Male and X a few years ago and they were never in the ballgame. They got steamrolled. This is back when Duffy was coach and they had Fidler. Very disappointing. I'm sure that a number of the Hendo faithful are looking for answers this morning. I guess the Duffy/Duffer era may be coming to an end.

If you think that was shocking, you must not play anybody where your from. Ryle has been on the map all season.

He's a Colerain fan. They would kill any team from KY this year.

More like every year

Did I see in another thread where people are actually complaining about Ryle running it up? In the STATE SEMI-FINALS? That is ludicrous.

Great win Ryle!!! Enjoy Louisville and best of luck with the 'Rocks.

Henderson County has a few playmakers, but overall Ryle was just bigger, stronger and faster. Ryle dominated from start to finish.

Good luck to Ryle from your friends at Cov Cath!

Good Luck Ryle, good win

We had 5 guys who could play at that level last night. I think if Duffer stays he should be made to have over 50 players on the team each of the next two years and 55 the thrid year. Ryle could have won by much much much more. It is stupid, if your goal is to compete with the big boys, to have the numbers we do. The heck with regional titles, we our a big school that should be bigger and faster. We have a goldmine of talent not playing.

That said, I am not sure we will ever play at the highest level, but the Ryle game showed the gap is ridiculus.

Overall, the actual on the field coaching this year was great, and our boys should never have made it as far as they did. I truely enjoyed watching them show their heart and desire.

Ryle is a great team, and I hope they win it all. They need to watch the stuff after the play though. They can't do that next week.

None, the Hendo team that showed up last night would have struggled to make the playoffs in the NKY 4A district.

From the Henderson Gleaner:

Ryle derails Cols' postseason run as 'train' Murray powers 59-28 win

UNION, Ky. -- Henderson County's amazing postseason run was derailed by Ryle and its locomotive running back Vince Murray in the Clas 4-A state semifinals.

Murray scored three touchdowns and rushed for 193 yards to lead the Raiders to a 59-28 victory Friday night at Ryle High Stadium.

Cols can't overcome Raiders' quick start.

UNION, Ky. -- Henderson County's football season came to an end Friday night, one win short of a trip to the state championship game.

Home-standing Ryle (12-2) defeated the Colonels 59-28 in the Class 4-A state semifinals in front of a near-capacity crowd at the 3,600-seat Ryle High Stadium.

Two things:

1) Congrats to Ryle. One more to go!

2) It's probably a good thing Hendo didn't play Moe this year.

I want say congrats to the kids, Duffer, and the coaching staff. Duffer and the staff did an unbelievable job this year. I wish they could of had a better showing in this game but that is the way it goes. They played two very tough games in the second and third rounds. Congrats to Ryle on the win, they have a very good team and should give Trinity a game. Ryle does not turn over the ball and that will only help against a team like Trinity. Murray is a very good back and should be able to play at the next level if he choose to. That being said I never thought I would route for one of the 3 axis of evil but I believe Ryle's fourth quarter coaching decisions turned me into a Trinity supporter if only for one game.

Congrats Ryle, Now go beat Trinity and bring a 4A State title to NKY.
