  1. Whoa nelly. A solid player who doesn't take bad shots. Being 5'9" can not create a shot, but few in high school basketball truly can. If left open and set a very good shooter. Dressed for Varsity last year and saw some limited action.
  2. Define well. The Moe faithful ain't going to be happy with second and third place finishes in the GCL and 7 or 8 seed in the playoffs to be bounced in the first round. And unless Moeller starts beating Elder and St.X on a consistant basis the rumblings will start.....errr get louder than they are already. From what I've heard it may be a spicy situation and nothing calms that like winning but nothing overheats it like losing.
  3. Not so sure either, since it was Highlands that dropped NCC and renewing is probably not in the best overall interest of Highlands. Because then games like Highlands vs Colerain next year might never happen if it is resumed.
  4. Cutler has definately improved with his own show instead of being a fill-in. Or trying to drum up interest before or after a Reds game no one cares about. Shame he will not get resources to do a proper show unless he leaves 1530 and Clear Channel.
  5. Quick name the other six Bengal receivers who have made the Pro Bowl.
  6. BTW Connor is the only person known to have coached a MLB Rookie of the Year AND an NBA Rookie of the Year.
  7. Unfortunately their schedule is tougher after the All-A than it is before. I do not expect Ludlow to lose again prior to the All-A, but Scott is the only "upper tier" team they will have met prior to the All-A. After the All-A they will play Holmes, Ryle, Boone and that should prepare them well for the post-season.
  8. Okay. 1. Take Me Out to the Ballgame 2. Notre Dame Fight Song 3. Centerfield 4. We Are the Champions Problem solved.
  9. One small step for KY and NKY basketball as North College Hill is #1 in the Cincy rankings for Division II thru IV and defending D III Ohio state champ. Actually NCC lost to NCH by 2 last year at NCH by missing a three at the buzzer.
  10. Actually unless you really, really want to sit on the floor pay the $13 which is bad enough, and then try and sit where you want....because I doubt that at 10:30 there will be many there. Again these kind of things are nice but pricey for students and really anyone.
  11. I meant at each of their home fields. For example, I don't want to have a doubleheader of Beechwood/CovCath and Dayton/Bellevue played at Beechwood. Not good for the fans of Dayton and Bellevue. I don't want Beechwood/NCC playing on a doubleheader with Ryle/Boone Co. Same thing. Some very limited doubleheader games are okay as long as they are non-district. District games should never be played on a neutral field. I thought last year's Newport Bowl was an example of how it could work with minimal disruption. NCC (technically playing on their home field) against non-district SK and then Bellevue playing Newport on Newport's home field which is 300 yards from Bellevue's field.
  12. The advantage Highlands enjoys is that almost all players that play at Highlands have played in the Ft. Thomas junior league or in a more competitive league in NKY if that is the route they choose. So in essense they have multiple QBs, multiple RBs, multiple centers, etc. ready to compete for that position in high school. The league mostly feeds kids to Highlands although many NCC players that live in or near Ft.THomas also start playing in that league also. (For example NCC's QB in 05 and QB in 07). Whereas other schools/areas have Junior leagues they probably do not appeal to massive numbers like the Fort Thomas League does. And the key is that team numbers are kept low by adding additional teams, so everyone plays.
  13. Highlands has the long tradition, but they also have a city junior league that feeds mainly Highlands (and some other schools) players that have had the opportunity to practice and play for 5 years before high school. And everyone plays with small numbers on each team. Plus boosters, coaching, etc. and it pretty much means a quality team year after year.
  14. Disagree. Games like Bellevue/Dayton and Ryle/Boone Co and Highlands/CovCath, and NCC/Beechwood should never be played anywhere other than at home fields.
  15. Why don't they take a 5 minute TO and try to clean off the lines for the Goaline, the 20, and the 50?
  16. And they must play home and away with Simon Kenton and Dixie every year by "rule" of the Kenton Co. whatever board. Part of the "deal" with Scott and SK moving regions was that they could still play NKAC and local games.
  17. Would that apply to Class 1A thru 5A in football? Would that apply to Class A and AA in track?
  18. Lots won't like these: 1. Highlands being undefeated and winning state championship. (Not always easy to live up to expectations.) 2. A) Holmes not making the playoffs. B)Dayton being bounced in first round after routing Bellevue in first round. C) Dixie losing to CovCath after beating them in the regular season. 3. Mueller going undefeated, Rash winning 1A, Schneider winning 13 games. 4. A) Dayton over Holmes B) NewCath OT win over Campbell Co. C) Beechwood comeback against Dixie D) CovCath over Beechwood 5. A) Highlands B) Boone Co. 6. A) Highlands B) NewCath 7. NewCath (Kickoff and punt coverage were super. Return of kicks and placekicking very good.) 8. Farris (Everyone keys on him and Boone Co offense is not very diverse or tricky.) 9. Highlands
  19. What could you possibly have against the All-A? Even if you don't like it, you should because it helps keep the state tournament as a one class tournament.
  20. They can, and schools much larger than NCC (such as St. Henry, Lloyd) have always played in the All-A. The smallest 125 schools can now play in the All-A.
  21. Quite possible. Not a great year for NKY inside. I would imagine CovCath and Holmes might possibly present some match-up problems for Highlands inside but then Highlands has the outside advantage. Highlands schedule is pretty bland this year so it may be tough to gauge how good they are. Just one stretch of decent teams when they get CovCath, Henry Clay, and Boone Co in a row in early January.
  22. BTW, Elder's JV team that was undefeated and GCL champs only beat Colerain 7-0 last year. Their only other close game was a 24-18 win over St. X.
  23. Highlands led by 9 after first and 8 at the half. NCC cut it to 32-29 before Highlands stretched back out again. Highlands two guard punch too much on offense, and Breds did not rebound at all in the first half. NCC just not there yet underneath with footballers although they played decent for having no practice. Highlands perimeter defense just too good without an inside threat to free up the shooters for NCC. Down the road Highlands might have trouble if a team has a dominant inside game but then they still have to match-up with the Highlands guards at some point. NCC will be fine in the All-A and actually will end up 8 or 9 deep by the end of the season.
  24. If you won, you could get a NEW phone number and a NEW address. You could get NEW friends, a NEW dog, and a your very own NEW website.:ylsuper:
