Covington Scott Schedule

I noticed that Scott's last 7 regular-season games are out of region. In fact, only 2 of their fianl 14 games are 10th region contests. Isn't this unusual? Does it reflect a desire to get out of the 10th, or just their historical affiliation with NKY? Just curious; it does seem odd that a team plays only 2 regional games in the final month of the season.

They are still part of the NKAC so i believe they are required to play a lot of conference games, mostly teams of the ninth. Also I believe it was Scott's decison to join the 10th.

And they must play home and away with Simon Kenton and Dixie every year by "rule" of the Kenton Co. whatever board.

Part of the "deal" with Scott and SK moving regions was that they could still play NKAC and local games.

I still find it amazing that 3 different regions are represented in one county. Is this the case anywhere else?

Wow that is odd! From what I recall Scotts opponents outside the region are some quality teams so it s not like they are trying to pad the schedule by doing this.

They play outside their region because geographically they are smack dab in the middle of the 9th region.

If you can play good competition without spending the school districts money on fuel, go for it. The less travel, the less money spent and the less time spent on a bus.
