Boone County 75 NCC 57

Featured Replies

Final. Any details?

Good game through 3 qts. Boone too big for Breds without football players. They will be back for Friday's game with Highlands. Sophomore center for Boone has a nice touch around the basket and short range jump shot. Boone is also very deep. Newcath was only 6 deep, really showed in 4th quarter.

NCC has always lacked depth and Boone is loaded this year with talent. How was the point guard matchup between Gabbard and Pangallo?

Gabbard and Pangallo are both nice players. Pangallo IMO when he chooses to can distribute with anyone. Gabbard completes the play better by scoring. With the supporting cast around Pangallo he could lead Nky in assists.

NCC will be very deep now that football is over. Should be able to play 9.

Guard totals:

Gabbard (Boone) 10 points

Pangallo (NC) 7 points

Popp (Boone) 9 points

Conner (NC) 16 points

Popp guarded Pangallo a good part of the game. Gabbard guarded Conner early on. Pangallo made a 3 and a 2 and 2 FTs. He missed at least a few shots. Gabbard and Popp shot well. I think Popp was 4/5 from the field (1/2 from 3s). Conner shot well from outside when he was left open. Boone put the taller Cotton and McFarland on him in the 2nd and 4th quarters, and that limited his 3-point shots considerably.

NCC really needs to get their big guys back and when they do, if they set Connor some hard picks he could really put up some big numbers, the kid can really shoot. Just a lack of depth hurt them last night. Boone was very impressive though, Gabbard is a very solid player and should be one of the best in NKY for the next 3 years.

Connor has a nice stroke and quick release.

Boone is well balanced inside and out and deep. They have 7 players capable of putting up double figures in a game, and only one of them is a senior. 4 or 5 of their players will be among the tops in NKY in the next 2-3 years.

How many (& who) footballers are they expecting?

I think 4

Giesler 6'4

Beiting 6'2

Jones 6'2

Roll 6'2

Giesler and Bieting will be in the starting line up.

Giesler played (and started) against Boone. He got into foul trouble and scored 4 points.

I believe the Giesler's are cousins. One is Jr. that played the other a Sr. footballer.

So who sits for NCC as they come back?

STarters? Conner (cant keep his hot hand out of the lineup), Lipscomb (4 yr player), Pangallo (wizard at Point), Geisler (size/rebounding/experience), Beiting (final spot).

Your line up makes sense.

Make sure Brannen gets my post. ;)

Who do the Breds have coming off the bench? Meyer, Roll, etc
