  1. Let's hope it will be 6-3 after this year. I have faith in coach Biggs and the Tomcats!
  2. The cats played solid at times, but will have to play alot better next week. Cordle was a beast on defense, I think he had over 12 tackles and ran the ball well on offense. Burns had another solid game, making alot of heads up plays. Good luck to Lawrence County the rest of the year..
  3. Where did anyone say anything about Belfry in this thread? I also said nothing about Johnson Central being arrogant, overconfident, or untested?
  4. I agree... Tomcats have several good receivers... maybe they should use them more. Davis and Cordle had a good game too. Smart on Burns part to set up that clipping call- LC touchdown was called back.
  5. Ryan Bonner played very well today also. He had some nice blocks and he had 2 catches for long yardage. Kevin Burns also played good with a fumble recovery in the endzone on a heads up play for a touchdown and a touchdown catch. Now on to Johnson Central.
  6. It probably could have been, but Ashland played their JV for most of the 4th quarter.
  7. I know he had a back problem. I dont think it is too serious and lets hope he will be back soon.
  8. I think Mercer would be the favorite, followed by Russell, then Belfry.
  9. Cats stay focused and they win 45-7
  10. I really dont see this as a blow out. Mason played a bag game against Boyd but are 5-1 and their only loss is to Lafayette. The Royals will play a much better game but it wont be enough imo... Ashland 24 Mason 14
  11. I dont think you can look at the Raceland game as ANY kind of indicator of how the cats will finish up this season. First of all, how could you use the word manhandled when the cats had more total yards on offense and lost by 5 poitns??? They are obviously a different football team now and haven't played nearly that same type of ball since that game. That being said, I think you would still have to sell the tomcats as state title competitors at this point in time. As for a deep run into the playoffs, I think the tomcats are very capable of that.
  12. This list looks good to me. UKCATSFAN, has Gill been improving alot over the offseason?
  13. Ashland Blazer Arliss Beach - Packers
  14. 4 teams in the 3a top 10 from region 4. Interesting...
  15. I have seen him play and too be honest, he isn't very impressive. He needs to bulk up in the worst way. Actually, he might need to bulk up more than Shagari ever did. :scared:
  16. The cats suffered a scare in the pre-game when Bonner twisted his knee again. It didn't appear to be very serious though and Bonner played well in limited action last night. Hope he is 100% for Mason next week.
  17. :thumb: Especially the ones coming of injuries, like Walters, and also Lacy Sondgrass has had injury troubles through out the whole season.
  18. Michael played very well last night. He seemed to have handled him the whole night.
  19. I thought that Boyd could have won, they just seemed to have come up a bit short. Good effort BC and we look forward to playing you next week Mason Co.
