I thought Kevin Burns had a great game tonight. He came back on an underthrown ball for a TD and had a crucial onside recovery in the 2nd half. I agree with FBALL Walters and SnodGrass have improved the line alot and sophmore Justin Pennington has been playing good at T as well.

I dont expect this to be an easy win for Ashland. However, Portsmouth West is also coming off an emotional 21-20 win over their rival Portsmouth much like Ashland over Russell. They have a very good team and I believe are 2-0 this year as well.

After the raceland game alot of people thought they would be 0-3. What a way to come back after a tough loss.

Good post Graybeard. The lineman blocked so much better last night than the first 2 weeks and your right about Thomas.

Their probably should have been a penalty called but Chris was jus retaliating after Clark kicked him in the facemask at the bottom of a pile. Jus what I saw out there you could see it on film too.

While I am impressed with Kasey Clark's athletic talents, I would think twice about putting him on the list for Mr. Football.`He was called for one unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and could have been called for another from what I saw. He was in front of the Ashland student section struttin and taunting them. Not a lot of class.

From the student section at the other end of the field it looked good.

It looks like Matt Thomas is playing as well as Tomcat fans knew he could play like so I like the Tomcats by a good margin Ashland 37 Portsmouth West 14

It seems that the Russell fans are the ones worried about the condition of the field more than anyone. Why dont some of you make some donations to Ashland for a tarp? It would be greatly appreciated!

OK Russell fans tell me this. If Putnam is such a dump, then why did the stadium poll, which was based on which stadium, Putnam or Henry Evans was better, go 45-11 in Ashland's favor?

Whats wrong with Belfry? They looked so much better against NCC. Why cant they hold on to the ball??

They seem to have problems holding on to the ball. I think they fumbled 6 times against Ashland and lost it 4 times! :scared:

I heard they cancelled the freshmen game tonight. I've also heard this and I also heard the field crew hasn't been able to paint the field at all because of the sloppy conditions.

Josh Alber is a running back for Ashland. He is a load to bring down and I think you will be hearing alot from him if he will stay at Ashland.

How is HHS schedule this year? I know they play Ashland in huntington...

No disrespect to Kasey at all but do you honestly think he is a more probable Mr. Football winner than Victor Anderson or Doug Beaumont? Like I said, I think that Kasey is one of the better backs to come out of this area in a while, but I dont think he can match up to those 2, and maybe more.
