Well whoever it may be that likes this defense, BMR has the final say! So he must take the blame! BMR is the head coach, the Tigers don't need 6 coaches sitting on the bench. I don't even think that UK has that many? Maybe if the coach started acting like the coach, then things MIGHT get better. I have seen the Tigers blow more double digit leads this year than I care to. The talent is there, but it is being wasted! With that said, anyone could win this game. But I'll give the edge to JC, not because they are playing at home, which makes little difference to the Tigers, but because they are a little more stable than the Tigers, if that is possible. Flip a coin and you'll have just as good a chance of picking the winner. :confused:

Pikeville is not very good this year, but has had a good game here and there! Ashland (while not great themselves) should be able to win this one no matter where it is played. If they can't then they deserve to lose!

YES! It is only courteous and sets a good example. But I don't guess there is anything to require it!

Sounds like some adults need to grow up at both Ashland and RH! When RH first became a school and for years after, Ashland had no problem playing them and picking up their wins! But I guess by not playing it allows the adults at both schools to be able to say that they are better than the other and to continue their grudge match!

The Tigers had a huge lead in the first half and had BL blown out of the gym! But then they simply nose dived! Sort of the a recurring theme with the Tigers! IMO Paintsville is one of the most talented teams in the Region, but BMR can't seem to keep the Tigers on course through the game! That is going to be essential IF he wants to compete for the District, let alone the Region!

I'd hate to be in the 64th this year! Not that any of the other Regions will be cake walks! Congrats Cougars on playing your game and beating a very good Fairview team 2x this year! Morgan now has wins over Boyd, Fairview, Russell and a lot of other 16th teams. They only have one loss in the 16th and it was a very close game! I think we now have our favorite identified, if there can be a favorite in this Region!

I had a lot of high expectations for Rose Hill next year, but looks like they are developing into a team that can pull the upset this year! Congrats to the Royals on knocking off one of the best teams in the Region! I guess the Region is Morgan's to lose, but that wouldn't be impossible in this Region!

I think that PCC will win this one by 7 points or more! JC is up and down and I'm sure looking ahead to Friday. PCC is a very good team and certainly not one you can overlook.

Ashland by 6 or so, if they good Ashland team shows up!

The way each team has played I would be afraid to make a prediction! I guess it will depend on which team is going up and which is going down on their season rollercoaster ride the night the game is played!

I look for Rose Hill to be a major player next year! BUT for now, the Lions are way too much for the young Royals! The margin of victory will depend on how hot Boyd's main players are whether they play the entire 4th quarter.

Maybe so, but they are 1-0 against Paintsville this year, whereas last year they went 0-2 in the regular season! Only time will tell if they are better when the tourney rolls around!

:thumb: Issues or not, Owens is still the most talented player in the 16th!! He just needs some structured experience. This is only his first year of structured ball if I am correct!

Hopefully this win is something they can build on to finish the season strong!

Good point!! :thumb: But other schools seem to fair well with these same problems! Another sort of unseen factor is that Ashland is sort of like UK, they usually get every teams' best game because of their rich tradition! And since they don't have the teams that they once did, or since parity now exists, the image of Ashland basketball's tradition has eroded somewhat. Teams don't feel intimadted by the Tomcats anymore!

Boyd is a solid team! They usually have only lost when they didn't play to their potential. They had double digit leads on JC and Russell and let both teams back into it. They didn't play well against Morgan the first half, but when they did play, they got back into the game. But out of those three games, they came away with 2 losses. When the Lions can keep up the intensity (and they are only one of many teams that have the same problem) they will be very hard to beat! Especially if Owens is shooting the ball well!! Can't wait to the post season!

Nice win for the Tomcats! But the 0-11 start just shows how inconsistent that they still are! What is the deal? At least we know they can beat people though!
