  1. New Noise by Refused. Friday Night Lights used it, but you can say that someone who liked the band before then recommended it to you. Pretty much anything off "The Shape Of Punk to Come" will get you fired up, so long as you can ignore the pseudo-socialist agenda.
  2. Is this event hosted at Louisville Manual? If not, did it used to be?
  3. This one's headed to Classic BGP!
  4. If either of you are assuming that I am implying that Luke will never go pro, then I'm sorry to have mislead you. All I am saying is that, from the last time I talked to Luke, he was headed to college. It is probably accurate to say that Luke could/would have turned pro if he had gone 1st,2nd,3rd round, but college wasn't a backup option. Also, I think that Luke will go pro in 3 or 4 years.
  5. Perhaps. I haven't spoken to him specifically about it in a long, long time, but he seemed pretty set on going to school before going pro.
  6. Get off the exit that says Georgetown College. (If coming from north, turn right. If coming from south, turn left.) Follow that road, until you pass a Shell. Turn left at St. John's Catholic Church. Take that road all the way till it dead-ends at a stop sign in front of a baptist church. Turn left. Field will be on that road. Someone else should verify these, though...
  7. Luke wasn't going pro anyways.
  8. I've seen CovCath play a few times this summer (and am seeing them again tonight) and I'm looking forward to this year. Wellbrock seems to have improved his ability to finish and dramatically improved his free throws. Thelen is unstoppable when he gets in a rhythm on the court- problem is, it takes him some time to get there, and CovCath's offense (which hasn't looked to the post in years) can make his touches few and far between. Those two together down low should be solid. I also look forward to seeing Machinot and Pauly on the floor at the same time. While neither are superb ball-handlers, they are both players with good court vision and speed. Max should be a real leader for the team this year. Austin Hudepohl and Stephen Wilson are two very, very athletic players who can make plays happen. Austin can really get up for someone his size. CCH soccer star Trey Evans has been with the team all spring and this summer and he is an excellent (while a bit streaky) shooter who has the athleticism and first step to get to the basket. Cole Heimbrock is probably the teams most consistent and well-rounded player- he does a bit of everything and he does it well. I look for him and Max to provide some consistency and leadership for this team which lacked it last year. Should be an improved year for the Colonels- I'm not sure I can make it through another year like last.
  9. What's more impressive- the numbers of the CCH Class of 09, or the dedication by TheOldGuy?
  10. Hopefully this has been what has been pushing Highlands over the top for the last 50 or so years, and CovCath can take its rightful place at the top of NKY football!
  11. Some college is going to get a steal with RD.
  12. I think it has to be Isler- he has 21 more RBI's than Connor- but Isler had 2 K's against Beechwood yesterday- how updated are those stats?
  13. Ironically, I was the team statistician when RD, Luke, and Isler were sophomores.
  14. That was a triple for sure, IMO.
  15. Isler was unhittable. The only two hits were immediately turned into a double play, perfectly executed by Holocher and Krumme.
  16. It is at 5, per a player's family member.
  17. These innings are classic CovCath baseball.
  18. The MC game is in Park Hills
  19. Not when you are a college student and gas is >$2.00 a gallon. Nah, I'll be there for sure.
  20. :ohbrother: Nothing in Lexington.
  21. My mistake, and good posts. :thumb:
  22. I have no dog in this fight, but this is an argument for someone saying that they should get POY?
  23. I wonder why someone who is nearly universally hated in Lexington would choose to stay here and live at Keeneland. These guys must love Lexington, is all I can get out of it.
  24. I can certainly understand the feeling. The night before my injury (that was essentially and ironically career-ending anyways), I told the coach that was recruiting me hardest that I didn't want to play. Too many of my friends play college sports now (at smaller schools) and would prefer to go to a different school and focus more on academics, but they don't want to disappoint their parents. Luckily for me, I have two younger brothers- since I quit, now my parents can try to vicariously experience tremendous athletic success through them
