Rainman11 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I heard this weekend that former Billy Gillespie assistant Jeremy Cox is one of the candidates that will interview at Lafayette this week for the head coaching position. I think this is a shocking development, if this is true. Why would someone who has been in college for 18 years (not to mention an extreme cut in salary) last year want to coach high school basketball? Also, does anyone know if Fayette County schools require a head coach to be a teacher in the system?
cch5432 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I wonder why someone who is nearly universally hated in Lexington would choose to stay here and live at Keeneland. These guys must love Lexington, is all I can get out of it.
SportsGuy41017 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Coach Cox is a great guy! A nice family man who possibly wants to settle down. It's not a bad thing that a former coach wants to stay in the area, it says a lot about the Lexington area!

Log Mountain Boy Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 By all accounts I have heard Jeremy Cox is a good guy and a very hard worker. I don't know why anyone would hate him based solely on being Gillispie's assistant.
