I heard this weekend that former Billy Gillespie assistant Jeremy Cox is one of the candidates that will interview at Lafayette this week for the head coaching position. I think this is a shocking development, if this is true. Why would someone who has been in college for 18 years (not to mention an extreme cut in salary) last year want to coach high school basketball? Also, does anyone know if Fayette County schools require a head coach to be a teacher in the system?

I wonder why someone who is nearly universally hated in Lexington would choose to stay here and live at Keeneland. These guys must love Lexington, is all I can get out of it.

Coach Cox is a great guy! A nice family man who possibly wants to settle down. It's not a bad thing that a former coach wants to stay in the area, it says a lot about the Lexington area!
