Dad, maybe the ref was being evaluated that night by the supervising official and he knew that even if it was just a couple feet away, he would be called on it. The officials, at least in the BBA, are evaluated by their supervising officials, just like those of us at work are.

She was physically challenged and did some very nice things. When she had the chance, she took advantage of it. And defensively, she dished out as much as she was receiving. Which in my book is a very good thing. I thought she had a very nice game and cemented my opinion that she is one of the top 2-3 players in the region.

I am telling you guys if you would have seen the defensive effort on her, the 14 points would have impressed you. PC did a very good job being physical with her, denying her the ball and doubling/tripling her when she did catch. Bethany King from Pendleton especially. She might have had 1-2 free looks at the basket the entire night.

It is a coaching stipend on top of his salary. In my district, if you get a shirt to coach in, that is a benefit and you have to pay taxes on that shirt. You get tickets for the game and that is a benefit and you are supposed to pay taxes on them.

Pendleton has a young lady that is over 6'0" herself and played great defense against TIbbs. Then as soon as Ms. TIbbs caught the ball, the Ladycats were sending 2 and sometimes 3 girls at her. Her 14 points was VERY WELL EARNED and was more impressive than some 20 point games I have seen that came against no defense. For a coach that loves defense, it was a very enjoyable game to watch on both sides.

I am a huge proponent of allowing coaches to go. I have gotten my teams entered in statewide tournaments, games, panoramas and exposure for my players in those things to college coaches by being at the state tournament meeting other coaches and talking about our teams. It can be a vital way to promote and expand your program both to other schools around the state and the college coaches in attendance you have a chance to meet and talk up your players to.

If they are playing HS, they are not allowed to play AAU during the high school setting per KHSAA rules. Has nothing to do with what the coach may or may not want.

Lauren Tibbs with 14 in front of a WKU scout/coach. Tayler Black had 13 to lead Pendleton. Brook Meadows had 12. Good physical defensive battle. This old coach enjoyed the defense being played on both ends of the court.

Golf state tournament is two days. We get one personal day. Basketball coaches are out 3 days.

Basketball and Football coaches have been able to do this in the past while coaches in the other sports don't get too. Golf, Tennis, Soccer, Cross Country, etc, don't get this luxury built in like football/basketball coaches do.

Not big. They play with a lot of heart but lack size.

Is Midwest the old SOAS besides Boone County HS? Cause if they are, admission this weekend was $5.00 and $12.00 for a family entry fee.

The St. Henry trainer did not think it was a big deal but Kelsey went to the surgeon who did her surgery and he thought it was an ACL tear on the other leg. I believe she was scheduled to have an MRI the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to confirm it.

Bracken vs. Mason County should be a great district matchup to start the season.
