Good physical defensive battle. This old coach enjoyed the defense being played on both ends of the court.

Tibbs played very well! As Scott's guards become more seasoned they should be the front-runner in the District and Region. PC played very hard and should also make some noise as the season goes on and will win some games that most would not expect.

Who was the other starting guard for Scott. I know Kelsey is the point guard. And it sounds like Scott played very good team basketball.

I thought scott would win by more than that.

Im surprised Tibbs didn't run away with this game. 20 +. Time to live up to the hype. I doubt a 14 point performance impressed the scouts, any blocks shots or many rebounds? Anyone else have any insights?

Pendleton has a young lady that is over 6'0" herself and played great defense against TIbbs. Then as soon as Ms. TIbbs caught the ball, the Ladycats were sending 2 and sometimes 3 girls at her.

 

Her 14 points was VERY WELL EARNED and was more impressive than some 20 point games I have seen that came against no defense.

 

For a coach that loves defense, it was a very enjoyable game to watch on both sides.

Time to live up to the hype???? Have you seen her play? Lauren will be fine and will get many offers to help college teams improve their teams. She's been excelling that last couple of years and will continue to improve. She is a junior so she has another year to get stronger.

It's not all about points. Rebounds, defense will win more games than a scoring. I know you have to score points but points will come off defense

I have seen her play a lot. I would expect much higher output against PC. And I do want to see her go big time D1, but playing against PC and putting up those numbers is not what I expected last night. With two big games coming up it should be a great test.

Tibbs is the real deal. I have seen her play many times. Dropped 33 on Highlands last year. Good soft hands, keeps the ball high and passes well. She will be a d1 player IMO.

I am telling you guys if you would have seen the defensive effort on her, the 14 points would have impressed you. PC did a very good job being physical with her, denying her the ball and doubling/tripling her when she did catch. Bethany King from Pendleton especially. She might have had 1-2 free looks at the basket the entire night.

Tibbs is a very good post player who has worked really hard to become a solid player. She will get better every game she plays, which is scary for her opponets.

Perhaps I just want to see this young lady excel too much. LBBC, how did she look hitting the boards, defensively, etc. Is she being used properly to compliment her strengths? Is she scoring on inbound plays under the basket? Is she getting to the free throw line and converting? I was just asking for some more details.

 

I always pull for the local kids to make it big time. She clearly has the potential without doubt.

One player can't win a district though. They already die for Benzinger and the guards
