  1. NCC might not have the D1 prospects, but they play as a team. they have great coaching and solid D. Anytime you have all that and good athletes you have a chanc to pull off an upset or two. Rock might need to be a little off that night but that happens to the best of teams.
  2. I know rankings don't mean much, just someones opinion, but if they are that much better than everyone else, why are they not #1. Also have they been beaten this year.
  3. Not the people on here whos feelings you should care about its hers. This is a lesson I learned the hard way. THese kids do hear what is posted about them, and I'm sure Miss Moss has had to learn to ignore post about her, but she won't have to do it because of me ever again. Not saying I will always praise her, but I will choose my words more carefully.
  4. totally agree she is a tremendous player and i'm sure she left everything she had out there. Maybe the defence had something to do with her poor effort if you can call 18 pts and from what I understand several rebounds a poor performance.:thumb::thumb:
  5. NCC's pressure D will tell the tale. Are ND's guards Jr's and Sr's. If they are young it will be hard for them to handle. I would always want my guards to have talent first but talent and experience is invaluable. Pressure D is as much mentally taxing as it is physically. I like NCC by 8-12 points unless ND can break the press and get easy baskets to finish it. If they do that
  6. I brought this up earlier in the year when Ryle was traveling so much, but now that their season ended earlier than expected it seems to make more sense. Did the tough Ryle schedule early inthe year wear the girls down. I believe in playing a tough schedule, but all that travel I think can be exhausting on young girls. Ryle seemed to regress as the year wore on. (after the 1st BC game) This team has a alot of talent and a team like this should improve as the year goes on. IMO
  7. I agree with what you are saying panda. Villa should be proud of their accomplishments over the last few years. Like I said before anyone has a chance ("Hoosiers"). For the girls sake I hope they don't feel the way you stated ("just happy to be in the house"). If they are they will get run out of the house. I know you have a close connection with the girls at Villa and root for them second only to ND, but their task is a very big one but not impossible.
  8. Tough to ask for at BOK. If I were you I'd settle for a W. Don't want to be to greedy.
  9. :sssh: This maybe the best gameplan for Villa. Send a few players over to NCC to sabotage the bus. Better yet, a few parents could take out the driver and one of them take his place and take the team to BOK arena via the scenic route. LOL. Honestly I always believe any team has a chance. Villa will have to play great defense and rebound. No second chance points. And if they do that well. the biggest obstacle will be taking care of the ball. if they do that then they have a slim chance of pulling it off. Thats why the call them upsets. Oh yeah then NCC will have to put in less than their best effort. Good luck to both teams.
  10. awfully high scoring prediction for this venue. How many times has ryle scored 71 points this season.
  11. Boone certainly got a favorable draw. Three of the four best teams end up in the same brackett. Boone should be well rested come finals. Hopefully not at the top of the game, since the should be able to sleepwalk to the finals.
  12. Well said. When you have no expectations of winning it is easier to except defeat. Especially 48 hours later.
  13. They wouldn't be guarding eachother' so that has little to do with who should be player of the year. Moss got to get her numbers against Scott players and Tibbs had to get hers against BC defense. A little tougher task. I'm not taking sides on this, just stating a fact. I like the way Moss plays more than Tibbs but both can be effective. I just like a more physical style of play. Tibbs will have to become more physical in college since she has limits athletically. Moss will have to learn to play on the perimeter moore since she will be giving up a few inches. It will be fun to watch both girls develop there games over the next four years. Good luck to both of them.
  14. Stats don't always make you the best ball player. Alot more goes into winning than scoring. Playing defense and rebounding will win you more game than shooting the ball 20 times a game. Allstars are made in many different shapes, sizes and talents. Don't dismiss a girl because she isn't scoring 15-20 points a game. Give me a player who scores 10 points a game and plays D, and holds her opponent to one less point than her.
  15. I totally agree. Playing a tough schedule only makes you better if you have the natural talent to get better. If not it will only demoralize your kids. Nothing good comes from getting beat by 30, 40, and 50 points. when you lose that often, by that much it will only make kids give up. kids will quit coming out for the team and the program will fade into obscurity. They need to take small steps building confidence and the program. Go to the better athletes in the shool and get them to come out for the team. Its a big school they have to have some ball players there.
  16. I like Ryle by 10. I think little sister is all grown up and ready for her turn at the dance.
  17. Not saying you are wrong but who would you have added. Dont need you to say who you would take off of it, but remember to add someone you have to remove someone
  18. Not probable this year. Still a little young. Watch out the next couple of years though. Talent and coaching.
  19. Don't mean to be mean, but Boone should win this game easily. Ryle and Boone are clearly coming out of the 33rd
