I believe this year the state champ could come from anyone ranked in the 10 in the state at the end of the year. No one is that far ahead of rest of the top 10 or so teams. So basically I think its more wide open this year than it has been over the last 10 years. Which will make for a very wild and exciting basketball season all the way through the regular season, district and regional tourneys and all the way up to the state final game.

What will be some of the better match ups at this event?

How do you see the 12th region Jesse James. And why.

Not for sure southwestern will be ranked number one when the preseason rankings come out. They have the most coming back but a lot has to do with if the people voting think they have improved any from last year. There will be a lot of teams in the hunt for the regional crown. First look at the teams who were in the regional tourney last year. Lincoln and Casey were in the finals. Lincoln lost 4 starters but have a lot of young talent coming back. They will be better than what most people think. Casey has 3 starters back plus all key reserves. Plus they always seem to be there when tourney time rolls around. Boyle will be a contender with the Garrard county transfer. Mercer lost a lot but seems to be there also at tourney time. Somerset will be better. Danville will be ok if the McPherson kid gets healthy. Then Wayne will be back in the hunt with the Monticello kids joining the team. So I think it will be wide open come tourney time.

Scrimmage games should be kicking into high gear soon. I know there are some at Scott County this weekend. What about elsewhere.

Can anyone dethrone Lincoln County for the 12th Regions Champs. They did not have a senior on the team last year. Will the it be another rematch between Lincoln and Casey county in the title game. Casey played with no seniors on the court in the championship game. Or will someone like Southwestern, Danville or Pulaski County step in and challenge them.

What about the games on Fri. the 11th and Sat. Nov. the 12th at Scott County.

A good opening night match up will be Casey County at Marion County on Nov. the 28th.

Does anyone know when it is scheduled to come out in stores? I know sometime in Oct. but when?

Rock and Casey will play two more times this season. Rock may win the district game but by the time region rolls around Pittman should be in better game shape and you just never know what might happen on regional championship night.
