We open the season at Bourbon County Nov. 30.

Then it's to the Bracken County Tip-Off Tournament Dec4-5.

Home for 3 games against Augusta on Dec7, then Lewis County Dec10, and Nicholas County Dec 12.

Dec 19-23 we play in the Grant County Tournament.

Dec 30 home against Lynn Camp.

Pendleton County at Falmouth Jan 4.

Home against St. Patrick Jan 7.

Nicholas County in Carlisle Jan 9.

Jan 12-16 Class A Tournament at Bracken County.

Home for 4 games:

Jan 19 Harrison County

Jan 23 Bethlehem

Jan 28 Gallatin County

Jan 30 Augusta

Feb 1 at Mason County.

Home against Sayre Feb 6.

Away for 2 games against Bath County Feb 8 and Feb 11 West Carter.

Back home Feb13 vs Fleming County.

Last road game against Clark County Feb 15.

Last Home game Feb19 vs Bracken County.

 

Proable Starters: Kelsia Fryman, good shooter, handles the ball well. Kelsia Carmack, Had a season ending knee injury last year, she's raring to go this season. Jessica Mitchell, Felshia Fryman. Mary Case.

That's as I see it.

Could Deming surprise a few teams this year with that line up?

Deming always seems to have a nice starting 5 but not the depth to truly contend. They have some good players in that starting 5.

Mitchell, Carmack, Fryman were together when they won the 10th region Freshman Championship couple years ago so hopefully they could repeat as varsity players.

Saw em at Paris shindig last week. Brossart won by about 30. Montgomery and Brossart look good don't count out the Lady Royals too

I thought that Deming had a decent PG. when I saw her I thought she would be slow and kind of awkward. I was impressed by her first step and ball protection.

I had heard the Carmack girl tore her ACL on the other leg during a preseason showcase?! Any truth to this?

I saw Deming / Brossart scrimmage. Deming big girl is a nice player. The first 4 or 5 Deming players were pretty good.

 

Brossart was able to play 8-9 deep and not drop off. Sanker for Brossart is a really good athlete who can score on the break and from the outside.

I thought the game would have been closer. You really can't judge by a scrimmage though. I am sure that neither team was willing to show their entire arsenal.

Haven't heard this yet. If it is true it's a blow to the team and to her she was so looking forward to playing this year. The good thing is she is young has a few more years to play. Wish a speedy recovery to you Kelsey.:dancingpa

The St. Henry trainer did not think it was a big deal but Kelsey went to the surgeon who did her surgery and he thought it was an ACL tear on the other leg.

 

I believe she was scheduled to have an MRI the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to confirm it.

She is out for the year torn acl.
