Wherever you got this information, it is false. No where in By-law 6 do you find that schools can opt to not oppose a player moving to another school after the student has played a varsity sport. http://www.khsaa.org/handbook/bylaws/bylaw6.pdf. The only way a student could get by with moving is if both administrators from the sending and receiving schools lied on the transfer form, which is not going to happen. I don't imagine that two professionals would do this, even if it was for a student. I also don't know why this is on a forum about Breathitt Co and their problems.

There are different factors, for each coach that left during the past 5 years, as to why they left. All of the coaches, except one, left for their own reasons, such as bigger and better job opportunities. Never has an administrator at Owsley told a coach who to play and how much to play them.

Owsley County allows their students to participate in overnight trips/activities. These trips must be approved by the school council and the board. Once approved, the parents must come in and sign permission forms and a affidavit allowing school personnel to seek medical attention, if necessary. After doing this for several years, this has come in handy several times. Yes, I agree with you, these trips are great educational opportunities for students and schools should allow these kind of trips as much as possible. They are alot of work for the adults, but this opportunity for the students are worth it.

Also if you notice, several posts are on eastern kentucky girls games so you could possibly try mountain teams also? If the professor hadn't stepped down as a moderator, he would have been an excellent person to begin this thread.

As a former girls coach, I have also had a referee have one of my players cut her fingernails before he would permit her back on the playing floor.
