I saw this thread started on the boys forum and thought it would be fun to begin on the girls.

 

Who is the favorites to win your regional All A Tournament?

 

In the 14th - Owsley and Hazard.

The 8th is open with Carroll, Gallatin, Trimble and Walton Verona all having the team to win the all a. The question is which team will show up to play?

I think you can throw Williamstown into the mix as well in the 8th.

Owen Cty just turned in a very nice performance this past week at the Gallatin Cty Tourney and should also be considered a player in the 8th region.

In the 9th you always have to go with the parochial schools (Holy Cross, NewCath and St Henry) as they have dominated their region for a number of years now. Also Villa Madonna has a very nice team this year and could pull off an upset along the way. Ludlow is the only public school in the 9th that could make some noise if they start to play a little more consistently.

The 10 Region in my opinion will come down to St Pats and Brossart with the Mustangs winning out.

I'll take Williamstown. They have a good draw and they just beat Gallatin Co. They should get to the finals which may give them the needed momentum to take home the trophy.

Never count out Coach Mefford and his Lady Panthers in the 8th. Good gaurd play, quick, and the experience from last year.

But you are right, the question is, what team will show up for Walton. All the other teams play good each and every night. I think Walton could win, but I think if they let this "problem" get to them, I would have to go with Carroll. They will give all these teams problems. They play a fast tempo game, and cause teams to make bad plays.

Even though I took Williamstown, any of these teams listed could win. All teams have good nights and bad nights, it just a matter of who has the most good nights in a row.:ylsuper:

I would pick Carroll in the 8th, with Walton and Trimble on their brackett side. Of these 2 games I am more concerned about Trimble because the game is played at Trimble and they always have a great game against Carroll.

 

However, the last few times CC has played they have not been running their pressing game so I have not been able to judge them. I am sure it had to do with playing 8 games in 11 days.

 

This week will be a big week for them and I am anxious to see them. Coach Mefford will get them on track.

 

I am not familiar with many of the other regions but saw some good single A schools while in Berea!

St Pats and Brossart? Paris has everyone back from last year and should be the hands down favorite. I doubt Brossart will even make it to the finals, but I don't know the brackets for sure.

I pick Paris for the 10th....
