St Pats and Brossart? Paris has everyone back from last year and should be the hands down favorite. I doubt Brossart will even make it to the finals, but I don't know the brackets for sure.

I think Owsley County has a good chance to win the 14th. However, they need to keep playing like they did in their 3 wins in Florida over the holidays. Hazard is a possibility too.

Paris and Brossart will meet in the semi's- assuming Brossart can get past St. Pat. The winner of this game goes to Richmond as the finals would be against a Bracken County team or Deming.

Lexington Christian will win it all.

They need to make a correction for the past winners in the boys 14th region. They have Hazard winning in 2006, but it was actually Lee County. I watched their game and remember that they probably had the largest number of fans at the tournament that year.

You are right, they beat Buckhorn in the finals. The place was packed with both schools and these are probably two of the smallest schools in the region. Very well represented.

I saw this thread started on the boys forum and thought it would be fun to begin on the girls.

I would say Leslie Co. would be a team that would be one of the favorites as well. Also, Buckhorn beat Hazard earlier this season. Maybe could put them up there.

I think everyone is jumping the gun too quick. Nicholas, Deming, and Bracken Co. all have talented teams. While the odds definitely go to the upper bracket, a lower bracket win is not impossible. I think this is closer than you think.

Just curious, in looking at the brackets for the all A in the ninth region, you have the top ranked teams including NCC, Holy Cross, Ludlow, and ST Henry all grouped together in a bracket. You also have NCC playing Holy Cross (arguably the best 2 A teams in the region) in round 1 with the winner then playing Beechwood (Beechwood has BUY in round 1). In the other bracket you have Newport,Bellevue,Dayton and Villa grouped together. Villa has a Buy in round 1 & 2, with a single win putting them in the Championship game. It's quite obvious you will not have the two top teams in the Finals. How are these brackets decided upon ??? It certainly can't be "seated" ?????

Not sure how it is grouped but Villa was supposed to play Heritage until they dropped Basketball this year.
