Coaching Attire?
I with the Bob Huggins and Bobby Knight dress code philosophy; Dockers and nice team polo or vest over a collar shirt. IMO: Coaches that wear fancy suits or clothes either in HS or college are saying" look at me, I need attention because it's about me".

KBA Summer State Tournament
I used to love taking my high school kids to this tournament from 2004-2006 when I believe Steve Hatton owned the KBA.

The bolded part is why I was so thrown off by her transferring to HC.

Did Harney go to HC bc Joe wanted her to bc he went there or felt the change was needed to showcase her skills more? Just curious and whatever the reason good luck to her.

Highlands hoopsters to NCC
This may be the millionth time I have said yes. Let the kid or kids go where they want for goodness sake. They get a very short period to play and have fun so this shouldn't even be a big deal.

Attendance numbers for Sweet 16
I would bet the decline is the format. Go back to the original format of semi's on Saturday morning and championship on Saturday night and I think the crowds would be better.

The Jake
As I said on another thread, he is the best player in NKY and it's not even debatable, and this week also proved he is one of the very best in the state.

Jake Ohmer commits to WKU
When I talked to his dad Pete, basketball has taken over baseball as "his sport".

Bowling Green 80 Scott 79 (KHSAA Sweet 16 Semifinals)
I agree that was a terrible call on that block, but not surprising really as officiating has been consistently going down for last 10-15yrs.

Bowling Green 80 Scott 79 (KHSAA Sweet 16 Semifinals)
Poor ref'ing cost Scott an appearance in state championship. Those 3 should be ashamed. Just terrible!!!

Stay at NKU or return to WKU?
There is absolutely no way the bold part will ever happen. The KHSAA isn't going to put the Girls' Sweet 16 in Rupp and especially not the same week as the Boys'. The Boy's Sweet 16 is their bread and butter and they won't mess with the current schedules.
-
Stay at NKU or return to WKU?
Won't ever be played at Rupp. Cost too much to rent and crowds won't come even remotely close to half full for any game.
-
Stay at NKU or return to WKU?
I say play it at Eastern. Pretty central for just about everyone.

Scott 78 Campbell County 77 (10th Region Championship)
Wow what a shot by Jake. No one can say he isn't the best player in the 10th. No one!!!! Congrats to Scott players and coaching staff.

How have transfers effected you area, and how will Charter Schools effect it
But it would be black and white if it was my kid and I bet it would be for most other parents too. But I will end it here, the KHSAA is allowing more and more transfers every year..,you know why, because it is not worth the fight in court because most courts have over turned the KHSAA initial ruling of a kid being ineligible.

But that's just it, every kid in Jefferson County isn't going to or want to transfer. But the ones that do should be allowed to. For heavens sake, it is high school basketball.
